Not so much differences between it and the beam 1.
Hoped for a better screen and better camera.
The processor is also insignificant for multifunctional usage.
Marketing is taking a part being injustice for this device.

I can't wait to get my hands on it! But camera size too small! Why not 13MP rear and maybe 5MP front? *sad* How many lumens are on this projector?

Got beam since it came out...Samsung promised update to Jelly Beam and never actually update the phone...Don't buy it, similar specs with previous beam and Samsung to care about the phone since it is not their Flagship phone...

I own the previous Beam and the spec are pretty much the same. Only improvement so far is the processor. Hope they will make more changes before world wide release, otherwise I will be disappointed.

Owner of Samsung Beam I8530. Everything's the same, hoping this phone will have better RAM (PLEASE Samsung, not 768mb or 1gb. at least make it 2GB. (it's quad-core damn it)

Owner of the original beam. Waiting to see price when released. Considering the upgrade. Loving the original phone still (have no dire need to swap)

Not another projector phone. I never saw the first one so I probably won't see this one.

Was it released already? If not, does it have an release date? I owned the previous model and I really really liked it. The double batteries were extremelly useful, and I loved to use the projector.

The projection function was great, and had so many unexpected practical uses (the best of which was displaying photos of my children to their grandparents; and entertaining the kids too) unfortunately it broke after about 6 months. I was never sure whether it was a design issue or poor handling on my part, so i never chased up the warranty. Cannot comment on the new one, other than to say that if my issue was a design flaw, it would not have been the only one, and the time between version 1 and version 2 suggests plenty of research may have been done. If its a mid level phone, i would certainly give it a go again. It was a great feature and i never use the high end features anyway.
