I have had no such issues with text messages. I use Handcent and it works great on the Chat B5330. I have configured the Handcent app on the "customised key" and when I press this key (which is below the ‘Enter’ key and to the right to the ‘chaton’ key’, the Handcent app opens within 2-3 seconds. This app works flawlessly. Even Whatsapp and the inbuilt text app work without a glitch and open on my phone with 3-4 seconds.

I have had no such problems while making calls and ALL calls (local or international) have worked as efficiently as the previous phone (Nokia E5) that I owned.

No, I have not encountered such a problem on my phone. Also, kindly note that I have presently installed the following 10 apps (in addition to the factory pre-installed apps) on my phone:
Whatsapp
Opera Mobile
Tiny Flashlight
Newshunt
SMS Backup+
Battery Notifier BT
Handcent SMS
Solitaire
Wordathon
ConvertPad
ALL, I repeat, all of them are working great on my phone. Do note that these apps do not use much RAM and they presently use about 365MB of the available 445MB RAM.

I have it difficult to understand how you have had multiple problems with your chat B5330 and I have had none so far. I stand by my claim that the Chat B5330 phone DOES provide the basic functions and they have performed great on my phone so far. Yes, the phone is slightly slower to respond in comparison with higher priced phones, but at Rs 6000 (Indian rupees), I cannot complain about the speed, especially when it performs to its capabilities.

RemoJ, 06 Jun 2013Hi guys, i m planing to buy this cell phone... is this phon... moreUnder my kind of usage, I easily get a minimum of 1.5 days of battery life for decent number of voice calls, a lot of text messages and adequate use of internet.
Here's how:
1. I have disabled wifi, bluetooth, GPS, sync, etc and use them only when needed.
2. My screen brightness is set to the bare minimum that is acceptable to me.
3. Set the screen settings to ensure that it is powered off as quickly as is acceptable to me.
4. Avoid vibration in the ringer tone when possible.
5. Kill unnecessary open applications using task manager.
6. I have assigned the "customized" key (which is below the "enter" key for the most used app (in my case, the handcent app to text messages). In this case, there is less use of the screen.

2. You are using "only 15 apps" and when you have only 512MB RAM, it is bound to be slow. And if these 15 apps are resource/RAM hungry, the phone will be even slower.
Please remember that the B5330 is meant for limited features:
1. Calls
2. Text (with the QWERTY pad)
3. Basic apps
If you expect anything "higher, faster, stronger", pay 6-7 times more and get the Blackberry Q10, the best QWERTY phone at present.

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2013How's the features on this phone,apps..gaming experience an... moreThis basic phone has ALL the basic features to take you along the way. The apps which demand less resources will work just fine, just dont expect them to move at the speed of light.
The sound/music quality is decent for the phone and I tried to install a number of "chat" apps (whatsapp, viber, nimbuss, tango, etc), only to realise that it ate up my RAM and the phone became very slow.
To free up more RAM and make the phone faster, I uninstalled some of the apps and I have only kept the ones that I really need. Now, the phone works just fine.
Please, please do not expect Galaxy S4-like features, speed and performance on the B5330. This phone is meant for a purpose (texting with QWERTY) and for the budget-conscious lot.

If you use apps that need to be constantly "active" (like whatsapp, chaton, etc) expect the phone to move slower than a turtle.

actually i've searched anywhere on the internet on how to move apps to the external sd card. but the sad truth is.. you actually cannot do that..
