First you're gonna want to change the launcher off of touchwiz, because touchwiz's ram usage will make the phone lag. If you want to play large games on this device rooting would be a good idea because it doesnt have native support for apps to sd. You get a gigabyte and some change out the box. Unless your outside between the hours of 8-5 the flash should be on on all pictures you take, good lighting makes the photos look more than decent. Most apps and games run well, and flash can be side loaded onto the device, however most flash video can be played through google chrome. All things considered with maybe an hour of setup the phone will last a long time.

            I'm a little disappointed.

Let me clarify: This is the best smartphone I have owned. It is not high end but it is a solid design and I have had no issues with the phone itself whatsoever.

Unfortunately it does lack the option to move apps to the micro sd card. This makes the SD card pretty much only useful for taking lots of pictures.
It also makes the phone itself a little handicapped. Due to bloatware, You maybe have a gig of internal memory to host your apps. I say maybe because each app updates and requires more and more space with each update.
Rumor is that ALL galaxy phones do not allow apps to be moved to the sd card. That means that only the S3 or S4 would be worth it because they provide a high amount of internal memory.

I am looking into rooting the phone. This appears to be the only way to solve the handicapping. Hopefully i can uninstall some of the bloatware and/or get the ability to move apps to sd card functionality with the root.

Nice phone in all respects, if you're not into having the most recent, latest and greatest. My only issue is that if you are on Family Mobile, the WiFi Hotspot is not available. I have a Samsung Dart on Family Mobile and the Hotspot is available. There is no indication if your phone's WiFi Hotspot will work or not, you have to try using it. Either it will work or you will receive an "Add Services" screen.

This is my first smartphone, it's fast, takes good photos, wifi, bluetooth, «SoundAlive it's the best» before I bought it, l had a Sony Ericsson W395i the one that has two speakers with radio fm. Well this phone just needs radio fm and it'll be perfect. Well... this model it's pretty good and cheap. I got it for 99$ at a metropcs store and as you know, metropcs and and T-Mobile joined forces so the telephone switches between the networks when it's necessary. I think I got a good smartphone for just 99 dollars.

Have only had phone a few days like size and weight Memory is weak so will need additional card. My issue for my use is you cannot download movies from either flixster or ultraviolet The only thing you can do is stream then which obviously requires internet

The specs are not quite correct, based on my hands-on experience (I own one).

The device accepts standard (mini) SIM cards, not micro.

Also, the dual-band Wifi is not supported. Only the 2.4 GHz range works, so it's b/g/n, not a/b/g/n.
