When Qualcomm release soc immediately they release source code for developers to use.

And normal games you won't see difference between mtk and Snapdragon because both have more powers than average games. It's those heavy games and things which need more gpu and cpu power, there optimization is needed.

Mtk sure doesn't have any drivers but they don't have much use even without optimization of chip in mtk it still manages to match sd in a few games which clearly shows signs that all mtk misses is optimization. Currently sd is still bigger than mtk but mtk is going gas gas gas and develepors will soon optimize mtk for games.

Even developer of Citra recommends SD 660/665/662 as minimum for 3ds games. Most mediatek have little to no support, no drivers or optimizations, they are just paper Champions, they flex muscles in benchmarks but fail in real life.

            You buy mediatek you believe it will perform same as sd 720G, in reality it perform worse than sd 662, and you pay more than sd 662 phone.

Helio g95 is barely anymore expensive than helio g80 or g95 yet it matches sd 720g. Thing is sd has advantages but it is more expensive than mtk

Some soc consume more some consume less. Sd 662 is efficient soc you can check Poco M3 its one of the best when it come to battery life. Again mediatek also has efficient soc like Helio G70 used in Realme 5i which top Gsmarena chart.

                        So. It's better to check reviews 1st and make sure soc is efficient before buying it.

                              SD better mobile cpu compare to Mediatek, SD cpu all are well optimized for games , google apps , samsung galaxy apps and also power consumption is very low (5w). Likewise Exynos also like SD.

                                But snapdragon has drivers advantage, adreno has much better drivers, compare to Mali/power VR. In most games and emulators SD 662 will perform better.

                                        I cant understand why Samsung is always behind the competition. Providing an FHD display would have made this a real competition to Redmi phones in the similar price band, but Samsung seems to be unaware of this.
