Anonymous, 21 Jan 2019I get your point, but providers already charge £83-93... moreoh don't get me wrong, I think the innovation behind it is fantastic, and others are already following Samsung's lead in this. the price was never going to be cost effective for the masses due to the new design and technology involved.
I agree that its a niche market for a product like this, as the cost of it excludes so many people. my only issue with this is that its the first of its kind, and no one knows how its going to do, how durable it is, the xiaomi folding phone also looks very good. so im actually hopeful for this product and others like it to succeed, so cups half full pal :)

van13, 21 Jan 2019good luck finding a case for this... 1600, plus the cost of... moreI get your point, but providers already charge £83-93 P/M for an iPhone XS Max with outstanding upfront costs to boot (if you go to the network directly) and people eat it up. This device has a niche market that's already paying over the odds.
Forget about the price for a moment - It's still exciting that developing technology like this is becoming steadily more available on the domestic market. Might wanna top up your cup friend, looks half empty.

good luck finding a case for this... 1600, plus the cost of the tariff, then insurance. looking at more 3000 to 4000 over 3 years. I'm sure the refurbished model you receive will work perfectly to. just the cost of the phone a month from my company it would be £44.44 then I'm sure you're going to want data, so we will say 20gb? looking at arounf £65-70 then another £10-15 for protection, have fun spending £100 a month.

And by the way 10GB ram along with 5G support will add another 300-400 bucks to its final price.
Man to be honest with you Poco F1 cost 300 now 280 if a Poco 2 comes to sale for even 350 it will be a proper 2019 phone.
This thing is just gadget for tech geeks and people who needs to be im middle of entertaining.

The first touchscreen was expensive and controversial, but now touchscreens are everywhere and there is no other choice but touchscreen. The same thing is going to happen with foldable displays. After that, a device replacing all screened devices would be nice.

This is something never has been done, I don't understand why are you against this, when this is the direction major companies will go. Huawei and LG also have such devices, and you will see others joining them in 2 years, just do not forget what the Master is saying. :D

NeonHD, 19 Jan 2019Well obviously this isn't the first time we've seen foldabl... moreYes thats true problem is in case of Samsung opeople have range of devices to pick from.
In case of apple when they ditched jack they removed it from all their devices.
So maybe if they say we make a foldable phone all phones will be foldable and people using IOS wont have other choice just to switch to android or use a foldable phone because they were forced to.
