When I bought this phone for my mom as her first smartphone, around 2014, I removed and disabled all unneeded apps, such as youtube,.google+, google music, movies, games, books apps, dropbox,samsung apps, google maps, etc. Chrome browser, Play store and Gmail were the only internet related apps left. Because even then, this thing was slow and prone to freezes in matters requiring internet, and got only worse with time. My mom used it for calls, messages, taking photos of her flowers and using the calculator, so it served it's purpose well.
A major drawback was the plasticky screen that would not automatically sense you putting it near your ear, and therefore would not darken. After a certain amount of seconds on the call it would lock the screen, but if you touched the phone to your face or ear before that, you were risking disconnecting. And to end your call you had to swipe at the screen to unlock it first, and then you could end the call. And the damn thing was not very responsive, so you had to keep swiping at the picture of a lock on the screen to get to ending the call.
But this was, after all, an extreme budget version of a smartphone, low income people to afford a smartphone. Kids also got these in one way or another. Many people learned to use a smartphone on this phone, including my mom. And for that, it is a great phone. It's amazing that they squeezed android 4 into such a low spec phone.
It's a 3G ONLY phone, so you can no longwr use it for calls, as 3G is going extinct in most places.
If you are going to use internet on it - opera mini is what you are looking for.

got this guy from the owner of that blackberry im fan of. i got the GT-S7390L model of this. i dont know why mine has an L in its model maybe because im from argentina and argentina is latin american. also the battery is missing but my dad asked the owner to give us every phone battery she could find. im still waiting to see this thing boot up including that blackberry which its battery is actully on the owner's house

My sister had this phone in 2014 until she gave it to me, so i like it because the design looks nice, the Ringtones are same as the Fame Lite and the S3, the wallpapers, camera, and etc. It brings me back a lot of NOSTALGIA...

this was my first phone because my dad had received it from a telecommunications company. its storage and ram are extremely low and it's also pretty slow, but, for its original price, its not a biggie.

This phone is pure trash, it's super slow and doesn't have proximity sensor at all so every time you try making a call is a nightmare

I got rid of this phone a year after i bought it (2014-2015)
Now using the S7, best phone I ever had.

I'm GTS7392 user since 2014. Some plus minus I would like to share here.
-battery get drain fast. since its removable Li-ion 1500 mAh battery should be change for longer usage.
-processor 1Ghz and RAM 512 not enough to support for apps that often getting updated like Whatsapp, FB. I don'n think this hardware issue can be upgraded.
-connectivity via 3G very lagging and not stable. Nothing can be done here other than waiting in queue list to get download and upload completes.
- Other than that this phone still be usable for standard apps and reliable.
- I agree that for 2018 atleast 1.3 above processor with 1Gb RAM needed to support apps and use with stable.

Omg I see so many people commenting "so slow never buying samsung again" are you serious? It's like 5 years old phone and your saying it's slow in 2017 almost 2018, no s**t it's slow. It wasn't made to be fast, or to be able to multitask well, or anything like that. It's under 100$ for crying out loud. Maybe next time if you wan't performance don't buy half a decade old phone. Used this phone for 4 years even though it is really slow it never gave me any hardware problems.
Now i am using cm11 and overclocked to 2.4 ghz and i can play gta sanadreas smoothly with lowest possible graphics and the phone become much better than before
