I traded my blackberry 9300 for the Samsung Galaxy Gio and i haven't had any issues apart from the short batery life. But this is because it is a used phone. after a while i rooted my Gio to cyanogenmod 10.1, and i love this phone even more. This is not the ideal phone for people installing lots of apps due to the small internal storage size. There are some software where you can move your apps to the sd card. Overall if i could rate this phone i would give it 8/10. Also i am clumsy some times and i have dropped my phone probably a 100 times. and all i can see is maybe a few scratch marks on the body.

Rooted it, installed CM 10.1(Jelly Bean), froze bloatware using Titanium backup, and over clocked the CPU. Runs like a dream except for occasional lag and internal storage issues. (Link2SD solves that problem) I'm actually impressed by this thing's performance. Definitely worthwhile if you know how to squeeze every ounce of its potential out.

The kid is a hero. Have had it for two long years and it runs beautifully. Traded the stock ROM for Cyanogen 7.2 and it gave the phone a new breath of life (don't try anything higher than Android 2.3.7 for anything other than kicks or bragging rights, the processor isn't up to the task). On low powered networks it drains the battery rather quickly, but where coverage is good, it runs the whole day on half a battery (I used to live in Brazil, now I live in Estonia, extremely different approaches to telco). I'm only trading up because Google left the people on Android 2.3 behind, most 3rd party apps work fine, but Google's are no longer updating and most new functions are reserved to newer devices. Shame on you, Google!

The battery is poor. Have to charge it twice a day (day and nite). Hardly lasts 24 hrs. The phone also does not have battery saving specifications like those found on S3. I can't believe thius is from Samsung which I always rated highly.

It worked shitty on 4.0 and 2.3. Now running 4.2.2 and it's as smooth as ever. This is not a recommendation. Do not get this phone.

If it because of someone trying to open the pattern, try to reset your phone. That will remove all data in your phone unless you backup it earlier. Simultaneously press Home button + Volume up button + Power key and you get into recovery mode. The touchscreen not working here so select with volume button and choose with home button. Choose 'wipe data/reset factory'. Done with that and choose 'reboot system'. Your done.

I have had this device for 1 year and half already and i am going to get RID of it! If there is anyone out there considering if he or she should buy it then don't unless you want a VERY laggy phone with gingerbread, a bad camera, A tiny screen and with 2.3.6 as its last update it is forgotten!
