finally i have bought Galaxy Gio. This phone is nice. One thing i want to know. I sent a mp3 ring tone from PC to Galaxy Gio via bluetooth but i dont know how to set that mp3 file as call ringtone. Can any one guide me?

I bought this Samsung Galaxy Gio last thursday and have been using it for a week now. Web browser is fast even under EDGE network, the screen quality is absolutely good and sharp, the live wallpaper is good, the swype is very good, camera also has a good quality, the gmail is always on time to retrieve email but that is only when the network is good.
Everything is good except one; the battere drains up so fast, i need to charge it every 5 hours, that's without wifi on, i don't know how fast it drains up when the wifi is on.
If you want a high end features smartphone then i suggest you to buy this Samsung Galaxy Gio, that's if you don't mind to charge it every 5 hours.

I bought this phone 2 times (1 week with each phone) and in both times they had the same issues:
- Could not get a GPS only reception (I went to an open street and run "latitude" and couldn't find my location);
- Don't wake from standby, only removing and putting again the battery. (It happened about 1 time every day for first phone, and 1 time in 1 week for second phone.)
Battery run out in 1 day in my first day of use (had to try everything), but it will last longer with normal use.

best android phone in this price..hv installed lotss of apps..camera is way better too..videos play crystal clear....thank god didnt waste my money on other phones...love this phone!!!!

now open your my file in ur mobile to see files in ur sd card then click tbe skype.apk file and u will get it install

i hate this mobile battery it heats up to 45-50 c when its charging . does anyone has same issue

i am thinking about to get Samsung Galaxy Gio. Can anyone tell me if i will install yahoo messenger on it then can i do video call ( video chat ) yahoo to yahoo? connected via wifi. One thing more i saw that Galaxy Gio's screen protector has printed logo and text, if i will remove that screen protector so is there any 2nd screen protector under that?

Battery perforance has been compromised at the cost of good display and typical Android 3G set specifications. Overall it is a nice set provided you keep the data network off and put on when the need arises and not all the time.
