Not having Super Amoled and OTG are definitely disadvantages, but doesn't make it a piece of junk. Grand 2 supports upto 64GB SD card- so lack of USB OTG can be managed by that. If you compare this with phones like Moto G and Nexus 5, they have USB OTG but they don't have SD Card support. Basically if you are looking for a good dual SIM phone with large (>5 inch screen), SD Card support and removable battery, Grand 2 is currently still one of the best mobiles currently available in market.

beginner, 18 Jul 2014there seems to be problem with activation and deactivation ... moreYes, even I am facing the issue. Single handed operation(using swipe pattern) is not working after Kitkat upgrade. It was working in Jelly bean.

for all friend who update to Kit Kat and faced problems .. please be iformed that after any update you should apply a hard rest for your device ..

Do not blindly troll in the Samsung I9300, I9301, I9300I, I9305 area.
What qualities does this waste G7102 have?. No AMOLED, no USB OTG and no gorilla glass protected display. G7102 is really 'a new piece of junk' !!!. Lol.

Touch on the small three lined panel on the extreme left of the title bar and select settings. In General the second option is Auto-Update apps. Select this and make the necessary selection and you are done.

Hi,
After updating Grand 2 with kit kat 4.4.2, the phone has become slow, draining more battery and regularly hangs during use.its not at all good software update.
Guys pls help in fixing this problem as this update has become real big operating problem.

Those who are facing restarting problem after upgrading to kitkat version just like me plz do the following steps...
1.switch of the phone.
2.Again start the phone and when the phone displays the model name like samsung galaxy grand 2 and just keep pressing down volume key till the homescreen appears.
3.after that you will find a black strip in the bottom left corner saying you are in safe mode and you will get message that phone is updated..
4.Restart the phone again and enjoy...

Guys , Please give clear advise that should android 4.3 users update to android 4.4.2 or wait till some update patch or android 4.4.4 or android l version .
Some users are saying great update , many are calling it buggy , and many going to Samsung service centre.
Is the update buggy , since people upgraded to android 4.4.2. Without clear internet speed and download interruption and though who updated with fair. Wifi or 3 g received update without interception installed update, which was not buggy . ( I don't buy into this argument )
