cannot use this phone without a custom rom. simply because the phone is so old. 4.2 jellybean
Custom roms, bring us to 7.1.2 noughat.
Why use this phone now ? Well the old models had better speaker quality than any phones of nowadays. So i still use it for media consumption.
But 4g sims dont work so i only use it at home on wifi, when my primary latest phone battery dies.
I basically use it like a non-calling tablet. Just for that speaker.

1. The battery is weak and gets dead quick

I use from 2013-2020. It's great phone. But it's getting slower. The battery not good when it hit more than 6 years with normal use. You need to find another battery. After reset it, i use as my second phone.

Use it for 6 and a half years. It's a great phone at the start, but as it's getting old, it starting to getting slower and slower, lack of space since it only got 8GB of space. Right now, I only keep it as my spare phone and it's battery is also getting swollen.

terrible phone. lagging and hangs. even my HTC Evo 3d with the same specs perform even faster.... This phone is ideal use for call, sms and whatsapp. can't use for anything else...

My grand i9082 recently was doing the samsung logo loop and i couldn't boot it up..i tried the 3 key combo and hard resetted the phone with no benefit..it was stuck in that samsung logo..after that i tried update with adb..(i didn't know what it was) and i wasn't even connected to the pc..it showed ..now enter the filename..i did not know what to do..i removed the battery..from then on..it is stuck in the "Samsung galaxy grand duos i9082" message and wont even go to the samsung logo animation..what shall i do ?
