just acquired samsung grand and been using it for 2 days. so far it works fine except for the internet connection speed. i have unlimited internet 3G and WCDMA network sim placed in sim 1 slot, however the internet speed is kinda slow since it appears to be using EDGE. i called my service provider and his explanation was that the phone uses the stronger signal it detects. for example if both EDGE and 3G or WCDMA signal is present it would use the stronger signal which in my case is EDGE. however he added that the grand is unlike the samsung s3 wherein it has a network mode chooser, like if you choose the s3 to use only 3G or wcdma it will ignore the EDGE signal and use only 3G or wcdma which makes browsing the internet faster. is there an update i can install to add a program to provide the grand with a network mode chooser similar to the s3?

yes, FL commando works fine. I was using older version before now playing D-Day. both worked falwless and butter smooth without rooting.
