Thanks for your response. However it is verbally said but no where else it displays in the settings that some internal memory is used in device which consumes for 4GB. When any deveice is connected to a PC whether it is memory card / phone etc we can find the total space provided and how much space is consumed and availble. In this case under the storage setting it is clearly mentioned ths space occupied by each running APPs and internal softwares running like the Android OS, Games, Pictures, etc and the remaing available space. SO how can we say 4GB is interannly used for OS and other APPS. I am not conveniced with this feedback. Atleast it should show some where in the stteting the total 8GB Availble in the phone. Awaitng good response so that we get a satified answer rather than going on assumptions. Thanks

It is said it has 8GB but actuall only 4GB is displayed. Even if u connect to any PC and check the total storage space it shows only 4GB. In my opinion Samsung provides only 4GB and not 8GB. If is claimed then atleast they should show how the remaining 4GB is consumed. You can check this through settings--> Device--> Storage --> Total space shown is only 3.94GB. Below u can see the consumption of these space by internal softwares running and the remaining space available to users. In any ideal scenario we cannot expect 100% of the GB space available and 10-15% less is accepted. In Grand it is almost 50% is less and is not acceptiple. Considering 8GB is availble i bought this phone. Though i am happy with the phone i am not happy and satisfied with the internal memory claimed 8GB is not made available for full utilisation. If any one can let me know how to find the remaining 4GB then it will be nice. Thanks

it is saying 4gb because out of 8gb 4gb is useable the other 4gb is for the pre installed applications and the android os that is why it is showing 4gb
that is what i got a answer from my cousin who works in samsung india

company tells that grand have 8GB memory but it shows only 4GB is any option there so can we see the 8GB memory otherwise how can i know that phone have 8GB memory
