I'm not a samsung fan. I think their phones are crap. But this I like. I tested this one at the shop and the screen aint half bad, its pretty snappy, and that dual sim feature!! I cant live without dual sim.

hey guys i'm really thinking to buy this phone it just satisfies my needs (dual sim function) but i need to ask u two questions; 1- Does it play Mp4/Divx/Avi formats without need of codecs or converter? 2 - Does it Support Adobe flash player? need full details please :)

galaxy grand is well granded smart phone.super touch screen.high clarity videos, super hd video recording.but received items r not insert into the extcard.how to solve this??

Thank u guys 4 telling a MMX (TROLL @ SidRockz) reasons why the GRAND is best .i think he REGRETED his decision to buy the MMX 116 HD and now he wants to convience everyone why his illogical decision was not wrong....come on man u get 8gb of internal storage better cam and great built quality on GRAND and i know u can root and make external storage as internal but that will not increase the internal memory actually and processer on MMX 116 hd is china made mediatek even the gpu is china made i mean low quality even the 800mz single core processer on good quality brands can beat the quad core on mmx 116.....and the MOST important thing u will not get good developer support (apps compitablity) on MMX 116 like u wud get it from GRAND cause developer tends to make APPS for the well know smart phones and well known processers and gpus ...HATE IT LOVE IT ...being an indian doesnt mean u sud ignore the facts ......so guys think again and make a wise desicion cause it will be u who will be using the smartphone...at the end of the day...

And FYI the A116 has a quad core processor but that too a MediaTek 6589 Cortex A7 which is more of a 2010 stuff so even being a quad core, it will not perform like one.
So whats the use of getting a quad core phone which performs just like a dual core.
MMX is just fooling people here by telling its quad core because not everyone likes going deep into the specs.
Grand is better in Camera,
Being a dual core phone its near about as fast as MMX A116,
Better UI,
Better service,
Better build quality,
Slimmer,
More internal memory (dont tell me about rooting here, i dont think you would be knowing about all this though),
and if you want to talk about rooting then being a Samsung product, it would get better dev support,
Near about similar sound quality and better in sound quality with earphones connected,
Full HD Video recording,
50 GB dropbox space (comes in handy),
Good battery backup,
Grand is going to get Android 4.2.2 upgrade soon,
Being a 187 ppi screen, it doesnt feel like one,
Brand value,
and many more........
So MMX is no match, its cheap, literally.

The upcomimg nokia lumia 720 is a much better phone than this grand! I have used the grand and really to be honest it looks too bulky in the hands.... and moreover android devices are becoming boring and boring by the day.... U cannot even use this fone wid one hand!

if someone has to invest 21,500 bucks...y not buy S2 plus or original s2 with mali400mp gpu n 16gb int storage..or even buy HTC one X @ 24.5K..its simply best..
With 187ppi wvga screen n only 8gb int storage n priced at 21,500 Rs.....i just say,,,hahahahhahaha.. wht a joke?

IMO b/w grand n A116...@13,500 Rs MMX a116 hd simply kills grand in all depets except camera which is slightly btr than a116 in low light capturing

Indian mobile companies are not as well developed as foreign ones and we should support them...yes I think so too! But then think about the quality difference...most people would rather buy good quality phones at higher prices than buy cheap ones that don't last. India needs to try harder. Sad but true.

Saad, 18 Dec 2012480x800 & 5inch screen 187 ppi hahahahahaha wat a joke :D It's actually comparable to the Note II's screen which as 265PPI... I know because I have owned both of these. In fact I sold my Note 2 because of Dual Sim capabilites of the i9082. I'm quite surprised by the display. It looks way better than a 187ppi display would suggest.

I'm just telling people not to compare Canvas HD with the Grand because there's no match.
A smartphone means a phone with is fast, has great camera capabilities and has strong build quality above all and here the Grand shines when compared to the Canvas HD and i know you wont accept my point because you own a MMX phone.
And you saying that CNBC and all said that MMX is better, its just because they are biased towards the Indian company and they are considering it because it may help in increasing the economy and at least for now i wont consider buying an Indian company phone when considering the quality of product and quality of service.
