All u complaining about this mobile really surprise me, I have used so many android devices and I think this is very ok considering the price. Battery is good, screen is great., lag? What's that? Dosent lag even for a second. Don't load ur phone with unnecessary stuffs u don't need, this are the main reasons for lag and battery consumption. I charge ones a day cos am heavy user. Lots of texting, WhatsApp and many others. Forget all the negative comments from other people, this phone is worth more than the price it's been sold. Go for it.

I have been using Grand for last 20 days now. 5 days back i updated the firmware of this phone, now the performance has slown down & battery consumption is high.
I am properly amnaging the task manager, but still the battery backup has become less.
Please suggest what should i do?

I use SS GGI9082 from the past 2 months. Yes as said the goodies along with the pack was wonderful. Regarding the hanging problems, I dont play many games but few other apps like the tom cat, Zedge, etc are not working in this mobile and it hangs bit frequently. My 4GB memory space is still more than 3/4 empty. I have the latest Android update on the phone and run 3G. It has restart about 4 times till now. But I love the Call quality and Android options soo much. Earlier I used Samsung Galaxy S Adv, this phone is much better than that...

I have been using the grand for 6 days, and yet so far so good. No hanging, no restarting. The camera is a bit disappointing, but the video recording is fantastic. Overall this is a very good dual sim handset. I give 8/10.

I think those of you facing problem with the phones hangs might have install too much apps without restarting the phone.
Also maybe u failed to properly run-in the battery by charging full, then let it discharged until 0 for few times.
I never face any hang issue whatsover after almost a month using. All are wonderful experience, solid phone, fast, smooth, and best of all... CHEAP.
I wont fall again to those bombastic stories of phone with so much cpu-cores, so call high pxel, HD screen, when this cheap phone rally deliver... so well, i felt this is the best phone-per-price in the market anywhere... anytime....

When sim1 is engaged and you want to reach sim2 in the same GG mobile, It will say "Not reachable or will not connect" To have the call waiting options, you should contact your Sim2 service provider and enable call forwarding to Sim1. It really attracts some additional cost to the call and should solve your request for the call Waiting option to your sim1 from sim2.

xolo x1000 has better screen. has an Intel processor. if. u can purchase other than Samsung then u can go for it. it has no hanging problem s.

This is for all those ppl who are looking for buying a phone but are confused about the performance of grand. Just like many here, even I was not so positive about buying this phone esp after reading all the negative comments here about grand. Well, I bought grand on 10th march. Since then, I am not facing any problems. I have installed some medium level games and also a heavy game like speed drift. The phone does not lag and runs smoothly. Camera clarity is awesome. In camera settings, just select the auto contrast option as on and the sharpness of the pic is increased. If u need a bright display, then just deselect the 'auto display' option and increase the brightness. I have set the brightness level to middle level and the screen looks good. If this is ur first android phone and u dont have ny experience in software upgradation, then plz dont experiment and spoil this phone and then dont put the blame on samsung. Instead, give the phone to the samsung retailer from where you got it. Go for it guys, beleive me it is indeed very Grand!!!
