Galaxy grand max 7202 has 4g support. These customer care people don't know much because it is not a common phone. Jio uses 3bands band 3, band 5 and band 40. Grand max supports band 3 and 5 but not 40. So grand max should work with jio throughout India except western UP, punjab and rajasthan where it uses band 40 only. Cheers.

Updated grand max 7202 to lollipop. Then updated more with some updates about 3 to 4 times with about 170 mb file each. Then inserted the jio sim . Got LTE/GSM/wcdma/auto. Option . Select this. You get 4g signal in you r grand max. Now I am waiting for activation SMS. I think it should work after activation. Will update after activation. Cheers.
