I was sold my prime 2 days ago and 2day i buy grand2 its better than prime i will say u bro dnt buy prime its worst phone ever only 1 gb of ram u emagin what happend in lolipop because its big software i dnt want hangi phone
Grand2 much bettre rhan prime samsung surely annoced lolipop update for it. If not i am very happy with kitkat and after few mnths samsung definetly update l for grand2 guys grand2bis superb......

Bro i am not saying jst because i want to say but moto g is considered better overall because it gives a premium feel and performance at this price.
Sure battery is not as good as prime but wats the reason behind that ? Its screen is HD. Means it lights up a considerably larger amount of pixels on screen as compared to prime. Holds all types of games very well. And supports OTG, has front dual speakers that sound better.
No heating issues at all. Its jst a rumour because during charging most of the phones get heated after a prolonged use. Build quality is quite better. If you dont believe me then look for facts. Moto g is sold for 13k from 2 long years. First its competition was with core 2 duos. But core did not stand upto competition however it was sold at 12k at start. Similarly prime started off with 15 k and now it also has started falling because of no timely updates and a lack of HD screen.

Battery definitely lasts less than grand prime but that is obvious bcause moto g has to light up more pixels on screen as it has a HD screen. In grand prime you get gppd battery life but on account of a no. Of useful features.

Its also providing L update while Grand 2 not.

I dont know how gsmarena shows 8/10 its rating while grand prime 6.9/10.
I'll suggest grand prime than moto g2.

i just had this phone 2 days ago, the features were good ..but im quite disappointed with the battery.. it says it can last for 72hrs(estimated) call/talk but NOT.. the battery keeps on decreasing even tho i dont use my phone..

Guys moto g 2nd gen uses snapdragon 400, this one 410, gpu in grand prime is adreno 306 while in moto g 2nd gen 305 which isn't power friendly, is moto g 2nd gen really better handset from grand prime? What about galaxy grand 2?

Its sound system is not good. In high volume also the music is not properly audible and clear. Company should have worked on its weight as compared to other models it's heavier. Rest of the features are ok.

Most of the leading companies today use android OS which is made by google but they modify the looks of basic User interface by adding their own features and name it something else. For example - HTC modifies the looks and adds a few features to stock android and names it "Sense UI". Similarly Samsung calls its UI "touch wiz". Now the problem is that these UI have and their additional features like S voice, specially added animations and widgets which eat up a big chunk of RAM and that is the main reason why google devices (Nexus devices) which are pure android (means stock UI) are faster than any other android.
Now moto G is the only mid range device that is running on stock UI version of android. That is why it gets updates so quickly. Flagships of all other companies are yet to receive lollipop update while moto g users are already using it. And believe me lollipop is far more fluid than 4.4.4 kitkat.
So this is the main reason of moto g's very buttery performance and also this is the main reason of its fixed 13k price even after 2 years of launch because no other phone gives such fluid experience at this price.
You can check out videos on you tube in which moto g is compared with galaxy S5 and you'll notice that galaxy s5 is 3 times costlier than moto g still it struggles to push behind moto g in performance. So its all about the lighter Stock android interface on moto g.

moto g 2nd gen uses snapdragon 400 cpu and 305 gpu that consumes more power, grand prime uses 306, snapdragon 400 as well, in what terms moto g 2nd gen seems to be faster? I am confused with this recommandation.
