I don't know why people tell that samsung galaxy grand prime keeps on hanging !!! May be they are samsung haters .I am using prime since last 8 months but nothing has happened to it till date .

So far I love evert hung about this phone except 1 thing. Occasionally when I am watching a short video or looking at Facebook or playing candy crush or listening to music, the phone gets really hot at the top by the camera and then it restarts. Sometimes it will do this 3 or 4 times so I lay it down for about 5 minutes and then it is fine for awhile. Does this happen to anyone else or did I just get a bad phone? I have insurance and I can get another one if it's just a defect. But if this is a common issue, I would like to know so I can get something else instead. Thank you.

Gene, 25 Feb 2016Need Help........Cannot get text messages from iPhone???Did you have an iPhone before you switched to a samsung? If so you have to call Apple and have them fix it. I had to do that too and after apple fixed it I started receiving texts from iPhone.

Let me explain about technology and it's rules of engagement. Basically, you must understand what the limitations of the specifications of the model of the product offers. In the grand scheme of things, the lesser priced items, are not built to dazzle you as would a much more expensive model. What would be the point? So, it is redundant to whine and complain about it. Pro Quo, and Caveat Emptor, otherwise "this for that, you get what you pay for" and "Let the buyer beware." Myself, I actually downgraded to this phone, for the simple reason that, I didn't need the bells and whistles of the "cat's meow" of top of the line products. I don't need expensive monthly bundles when all I want is a cell phone to make and receive calls when I am out and about. The rest of the stuff, can wait until I am at home and have the convenience of computers that are far more capable of multitasking than any portable device. Also I do not mind carrying around a tablet because that actually serves me better as a reading device than any phone, and I have really inexpensive access to the internet with a wireless account that doesn't double or triple for phone and television. I don't use it to make calls, but I can use it for Skype and strangely enough can get to more places cleanly, with the bonus of webcam, even with purchasing time from Skype. It is a matter of your priority of needs. So if you want to moan about a product, then exchange it for another more expensive one. Don't expect it to be a miracle product for that price. What's the matter with some of you people? If something doesn't work, take it to an authorized service depot and get it checked out, and if they say it is working to specifications, then it is doing exactly that. Just because it is not working to your personal concept of specifications, it's not the manufactures fault, it's your fault for not doing your homework or being soft soaped by a salesperson into buying the product. There is no harm in saying. "I'll get back to you." Look before you leap, and do your bloody research. Don't point fingers and blame the manufacture. They just make models to suit budgets and life styles. Most review critics are clueless because they set too high of a standard of a benchmark without consideration to the end user.
This phone is fine. I make calls, I receive calls. When I am at home, I forward the calls to my home phone. The camera is handy, but I would never consider any camera in a phone to be an ideal product, they certainly will not replace a Nikon nor a Canon digital SLR camera, with their multi facet features, that finally have superseded good ol' fashioned film cameras. Still, film is far more of an adventure, all of those chemicals, and darkroom special effects, such as photo emulsion. Can't do any of that with digital cameras. But then yes, no more toxic chemicals, and yelling, "Don't open that door!!"
Point is, we have to go with the times, but sometimes it is necessary to not to be so aggressive and roll back and simplify.

Not disappointed however somewhat impresses. I mean its nothing compared to an S5 or 6. Its a bit laggy..snappy is never what you'll receive. However if I was on a budget or it was like free..id take it in a hearbeat
