It is lowered for optimization purpose because most of us watch video in landscape mode, thus the 540p is useless unless you watch a video in portrait mode. Optimumly, 480p resolution is the answer to video watching in quarterHD phones.

This phone hungs too much please dont buy this mobile. every time you need to restart this mobile.very bad I am irritating after buying this mobile. first 2-3 moth it would be fine. after then very bad performance.

Actually i hate this model cuz ot lags often as it has a sucking 1GB ram so i would not reccomend this phone and recommend huawei honor 4c and htc 626G for this range.

well suddenly after 4 months i cant able to connect to the same wifi which i was using it from past days, i need to restore factory setting and again next day if im online and the date changes the wifi will stop working i mean its connected but no internet access.... strange..... but at work place its ok still i can use the same wifi...

I would not recommend this phone to mid- to heavy users of apps. With only 1 GB of RAM, it is very prone to lags and hangs that it gets irritating. Sometimes I only want to shift between Facebook, Instagram, and Gmail but I have to sit and wait furiously for the phone to catch up with me.
Sometimes when I'm using an app and someone calls, I get to hear the ringtone first but I have to wait for a few seconds before the call screen shows up.
However, the battery is good enough to last for a day and is quick to charge. Photo, video, and sound recorder is very clear. The screen mirroring app that allows you to project the phone's screen on a nearby TV is a standout feature.
Overall, sad to say but this Samsung phone is a letdown. There are phones that perform better than the Grand Prime and at relatively cheaper prices too -- Lenovo A6010 and Asus Zenfone Laser are better options at below PHP10,000 (about $170) against this slowpoke.

Emails from my rogers account are no longer forwarded to my galaxy prime. The device doesn't sync like it is suppose to. Any suggestions

My Samsung Galaxy Grand prime is not able to recieve calls sometimes,it says network busy or my phone is switched off an all....is der a solution for this...?? Is this a common error for this phones...?? Waiting for your replys

Unfortunately this means 480p is the ideal resolution. At least that's how i understand it.
