tHThe BIG problem with this phone and I will never buy a sumsung again is when you receive any type of message it reaps the chime or beep every 30 seconds and there is no way to turn it off it is the most annoying phone I have ever had. Every time you get a text the phones beeps constantly every 30 seconds or until you red the message. The phone is annoyance. I tried to return it 2 days Later but no Go with Metro you own this piece of Crap I was told when I tried to return it. Called samsung with problem 2X hung uo both times they know it is a problem and have no fix for it. Selling this Phone on Ebay and going back to iPHONE. This is the worst phone I have ever purchased and Samsung hanging up on me 2x has sealed their fate no wonder Wall Street Journal say Samsung is posting a billion dollar loss.

The only advantage of this phone is the removal battery so i can shutdown it by force to remove its battery 5 times per day.

The phone is nice, in terms of specs I'd prefer the Grand 2. However, not sure if this is true but two models of this phone has Android Marshmallow.

vader, 20 Dec 2015my grand prime displays 5gb user available memory but when ... moreIs you phone only showing smaller amount of storage when hooked to the computer because the 8 gb is divided between amount allocated for apps and amount allocated for storage (pictures, etc.). My guess is that your computer may only be showing the amount allocated for files other than apps.

I work in wireless, I normally recommend the Samsung grand prime to a person that doesn't want to spend a lot of money but wants a decent phone. It's very inexpensive, with a decent camera. If you want something a bit faster with better camera go with a galaxy s6.

All things is good but little heating problem and battery backup is not good. It is not for heavy uses.

Samsung phone is a best choice, I have a galaxy note 3 and galaxy pocket using more than 2 years as very good performance, as well as my LED TV40"3D,SMART, I satisfied with Samsung.

samsung has really good phones. I had a samsung phone for 2 years. I have a galaxy s3 and so far its been good. i also have a samsung flat screen tv for almost 6 years.

I have used Samsung cell phones for years and bragged about them until now this Samsung Galaxy grand prime is the worst phone that you could have. The photos are really bad. It All the time makes a ding noise and worst you have to update constantly.I wouldn't recommend this cell phone to anyone. I am thinking of a LG phone or a Motorola and I feel bad for doing this I was loyal to Samsung.
