Ricky, 23 Aug 2016keeps on freezing5 days ago I bought a galaxy J1 (unlocked) from my local Target store for $179, but 2 days ago I took it back because the sd card system was broken. The store was out of stock, so I foolishly paid out an extra $20 & got a galaxy J1 2016 (network locked).
The Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 is a faulty half programmed phone.
There are to many excellent phone filtering/cleaning apps that will work on the galaxy J1 but will not work on the Galaxy J1 2016, the Galaxy J1 2016 has freezers & reboots itself (lets hope no one with the Galaxy J1 2016 has to call any of the emergency services, the fauly phone could easily cause cost people their lives!) Also in the app draw/on the app screen the Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 does not have the settings that most Galaxy handsets have.

Cannot expect much on it since it is the cheapest phone from Samsung. But please support Waze. Can you image it loads the app without a proper map? Not sure if Android 5 requires more RAM and CPU power? Ya it uses quad core processor but it works like a single thread Phone, My phone lag when notifications coming in from Whatsapp and skype and etc....

IT is a NANO SIM only phone!

i want to buy this phone for my mum, she only does few texts (10) per week and a few calls (5) per week , how long will the phone last on this low usage b4 it needs a charge.
Also, how long will the phone last if you don't use the phone at all for a few days or a week?
She wont have any apps or internet going, she just users it for few texts and few calls .

AnonD-573110, 16 Aug 2016Yes, compatible. As long as you have good internet connect... moreAR mode or augmented reality mode only works if your phone has a gyro sensor. But based on the specs above this phone only have 2 sensors, and gyroscope is not with it.
