Just bought this phone for a spare yesterday and it's worth the price @ $99 CAD, it's an entry level phone but damn it rocks.. I so like it not to mention this is my first Samsung Phone.. had been using series of iphone since 2010..

The J series are good in general. I have a J7 and my wife has a J5 and we are both pleased with them.
When you buy one in the S series you pay for the research and developement and that tech is available later in the cheaper series.
Go for a J phone.
