Hold Volume + and power button simultaneously -> choices appeared and select hard reset thru volume +- as up and down key and power button as enter key -> once done and full complete reset select reboot system -> congratulations!

So overall,is this a good phone to go for or not?im looking to get a new phone,but there are so many on the market,it's become quite frustrating(inspite of using google).Are there any recomendations from the more experienced cell-users out there?a good medium range(and priced)phone.

my mom, 58 years old and gadget illiterate, bought this phone just this march. the retailer helped her setup the phone and made a new gmail account for her phone. the phone was used for a day, but my nephew locked up the phone and they brought it back to the retailer w/c they did a factory reset. but now it is asking for the gmail account w/c was setup. cust was able to remember her gmail but wasn't able to save/remember the password. i tried to recover email's password using the link the phone provided but it is very hard to recover the password because it was just made and the girl from the retailer who made the account refused to help. i called a samsung rep and the option he provided me is to go to a samsung service center w/c is not available in our area.
is going to a service center do us any good? are there an alternative way for this issue.
