I love my samsung galaxy smartphone's so i thought ok i will get samsung galaxy J1 (2016) thinking that it was made last year and thought the android would be higher then 5.1.1 but no thats what this phone is. Then you want more storage space so you get a 32GB SD Card to put in it and then you try and make the SD Card as the default location for everything to be saved to but no you can't even do that. This phone is pass the joke. I really do think samsung needs to rethink this phone because i have not liked it since the day i got it. It does overheat pretty bad too. It does freeze alot. I would never ever tell anyone to buy this samsung galaxy J1 (2016) ever. It is shit. If i had the money to go and buy another phone i would and then with this one i would smash it. I really do hope samsung will look into it. Because I'm very disappointed in this phone altogether.

horrible experience for me. phone is very slow, hangs from time to time, lags alot and sometimes types by itself like spamming random alphabets. really do not like it, honestly.

For me its a horrible experience...my wifi icon keeps on disappearing...ive to remove its battery each and everytime for the icon to reappear..my voice recorder doesnt work either...poor battery life...sometimes my screen freezes ...camera as well is so blurry

This is worst phone I have ever owned less then a year old constantly overheats making it impossible to use is very slow does not stay charged and biggest problem is constantly telling me I have no SIM card only way I can use it is to turn it off and remove battery to reset it and then it will do the same thing again in a day or two sometimes two or three times a day total waste of money am very dissatisfied

My screen started the crazy white strobe type crap and also threw me into seizures. Same issue with attempting to delete a typo. I cannot afford to upgrade at this time and my provider says Samsung has to replace my phone. Stupid....Samsung will not even respond to my requests for assistance!!!

The Samsung J1 6 started out as a really great phone. A few weeks into ownership of my first of three identical models (had to replace them once or twice) the screen began rolling these lines downs the screen; much like the lines you would see if you were to record directly from a television screen or computer monitor. The lines remained, and was soon accompanied by an intensely blinding white light that randomly flashed at such great speeds, it caused me to have numerous seizures. I've phoned my provider numerous times but they've never heard of the issues I'm stressing about. Their recommendation comes in the form "It really needs to be exchanged." LIKE NO SH*T!!!! I DO NOT recommend this stupid a** phone. Oh, and another thing. When I text, and need to correct a word or delete a section of words, it requires that I highlight the mistype, and delete that way. Holding down on backspace will do nothing but cause EVEN MORE F**KING STRESS when the word you're attempting to remove combines, or instantly doubles into one goddamn long as f**k word. The J1 6 was built to be a piece of f**king garbage, and garbage it is. If you absolutely must get a new phone, and all they have is the J1 6, I suggest you take a class, and learn how to build a phone your own damn self.

I have this phone for 1 years above. For me, this phone is one of the best phone that Ive ever used. The screen is so good because it had a Super AMOLED Display. The performance when it comes to gaming it is so good. It has minimal lags but it doesnt matter. Its so fast when it comes to surfing either you use wifi or data. Overall, this phone is one of the best for its price. Thank you samsunh for making this cheap but awesome phone
