... just got it... when devoid of the battery it's light ... OVERALL? SO GOOD ,,, but it seems overly hot after use... even while docked for charging despite being turned off... is it the unit or just the summer heat here in Cebu?

KikiMae1990, 11 Apr 2017Okay,so, I'm not very "tech savvy", but I tried to do some ... moreWell if I may suggest, try placing the Sim (fr your J1) to a different phone and see how it performs...At the same time try using a different Sim card (if possible from a different carrier) and place it on your J1 phone and observe if you experience the same problem. Basically that's how you'll get an idea if the problem is from your phone or Sim carrier (Freedom). If you place your sim to a different phone & didn't encounter a problem, that means there's no problem with your carrier. If your J1 phone still exhibits the same issue despite using a different Sim, that means your J1 phone has a problem.

how lag is this phone as compare to Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime? I'm planning to buy this phone and use it as a secondary phone. I'm thinking of Asus Zenfone Go ZB450KL or this phone. thanks for the advise

Okay,so, I'm not very "tech savvy", but I tried to do some research on my own to diagnose the root of my problem, but to no avail. So, I would like to ask those of you who are more technologically sound, what is causing my problem!?
My phone (Samsung J16), and my Husband's of the same make and model (bought same day as well) has been having issues with switching from the Home network to Roaming. I have not left the city that I live in, where the phone was purchased and registered, let alone the country. I wouldn't have such an issue with it if it didn't cause me to lose the option of making and receiving calls as well as internet (WiFi and data) connectivity. Basically, I want to know if this is a carrier problem (I'm with Freedom mobile; first time customer with this company) or is this an issue with the hardware of the phone itself?? Like I previously mentioned, I have tried to figure this out on my own but have had no luck. If I get no information from this, I will call my service provider, but thought I may at least get a lead this way.
Sorry for the rambling, and I thank you in advance for any considerations, and/or pointers.

I am using this phone for the last 1.5 months and I am fully satisfied with this phone. It is a very good phone according to its price and it is a basic smartphone. As I am not any gamer, and I use it for day to day uses. It has a decent camera, both front, and back. For heavy usage, have to charge this battery twice on a working day but for mid-level usage, the battery stays one full working day like 7 am to 8 pm. It takes around 2 to 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery.
Call quality is super, no problem in 3G but in WiFi, there is connection and disconnection problem. I don't know how to solve this.
Sound quality is clear and loud but not as loud as expected but price wise ok. Good for watching stuff on Youtube or so on.
Overall performance a bit of laggy but price was actually ok. I do not want to upgrade on Marshmallow because it will consume more space out of it's 8GB. Marshmallow takes 7 GB out of 8 GB.
People will stop buying Samsung device if Samsung does not provide 16 GB storage in entry level price like other.
Pros:
First of all, it's compact size.
Smooth performance for entry level usage.
Decent camera & battery backup.
Good call quality and sound quality.
Cons:
A bit of laggy.
8GB ROM.
