Second thing is, since the network mode is in auto(gsm/3g/4g) the phone should ideally detect the available signal. You are not supposed to change the network mode to GSM only mode every time you make a call, that's impractical. Third thing is even in GSM only mode also, there is no change in phone's behavior (dead phone) at low signal areas.

iam from egypt and i want to buy this mobile . i have some quitions
1- what about the sound of ringtone ? is it low or loud ?
2- what about the battery backup ?
3- is the network problem just in india or all over the world ?
4- what about the sound of the calls ? is it clear enough ?

It definitely has network problem. Even after update of latest firmware from samsung still this device has very serious network problrm.

some said that the update had solved the problem. I want them to test the phone at low signal strength area. If there is low network area. Then you find there is full network bars but when you tried to call then you get NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK OR EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY.
. What i observe is, this phone can not detect the signal and could not be used to make and receive phone calls, This phone works fine only in areas where you have full signal strength.
I treid putting airtel , vodafone and even idea sim but problem is same. If you want to make call then you have to resatrt the device or manually find the network..
I request those who are recommending the phone to others to check it in the low signal conditions .
For network problem i went two times to samsung authorised service centre in jalandhar, punjab.
They people said,not only me come for this network issue also come many people daily for network issue in samsung j2.
They suggest me to wait for another software update. But
already one month past and samsung released three firmware but still failed to find out the solution for network problem.
Its my request to samsung please do something.
Otherwise nobody will beleive in the big brand like samsung.

no friends there is no network problems in j2. If any one has this problem please change your airtel 4g sim because you tried to run 4g on samsung j2 . airtel has no 4g signals that is the reason for no network in your mobile. Please change your sim to another oprater and see your problem is gone. I use this phone and i have no problem with this phone.

Guy's when I see one minute video in youtube in j2 . It take 3.7 mb . And same video I see in Samsung e5 it take only 1.2 mb .
Can any one suggest me.

Guys, i had mentioned about the network problem and some said that the update had solved the problem. I want them to test the phone at reasonably low signal strength area. What i observe is, when my old phone can detect the signal and could be used to make and receive phone calls, this phone(j2 ) goes dead, says no service. This phone works fine only in areas where you have full signal strength. I request those who are recommending the phone to others to check it in the low signal conditions . Any way i stopped using this phone(i switched back to my old phone ) as at my work place this phone goes dead ( no service ).

Samsung Galaxy J2 is a very good phone at a very reasonable price. Its camera quality is very good. I bought the phone in last month and have been using without any problem. There is no any network issue in the phone as posted by some readers. Only it take some time to register the sim network. After that there is no network problem. Built is very good with slim design. With golden looks, it looks elite. The display is very attractive with AMO LED display. The touch screen is very soft to use. No unnecessary applications are installed. So, it is a very good phone a reasonable price.

Samsung j2 is very good phone no network problem if you use 3g sim that time selected only wcdma and gsm mode no network isue

Evem after latest update it still has network problem.
Not Registered on network is displayed on the screen..
I am very much disappointed that even after two months of launch samsumg did not solve netwotk issue.
I now going to sale this mobile.
