Getting 8Gb phones these days is bassically a waste of money . The actual standard should be at least 32gb

The goo... moreMaybe you can help me please. I purchased my J2 SM-G532M (Android Version 6.0.1) in Chile Feb 2018 and I can find no place to install an SD Card for extra storage. I think it is 8GB but when I try to copy my J1 (2gb) over then it tells me there is not enough memory! This in spite of just a few added apps, no photos, videos of music, and there is no room for the 'automatic updates'. Inside the rear panel looks like no images that I can find online.
Any help appreciated. John

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2018i'm planning to buy this phone next week, here in argentina... moreI'm in Chile, I got the 8gb version a year ago.
The good: Although I've never installed the more demanding apps, everything I've put in the phone works perfectly from heavy-traffic apps to internet based games, phone has never gone slow during everyday usage and Android has never crashed except for some very rare circumstances.
The bad: If you get the 8gb version you WILL suffer. Most modern basic apps are forced into internal memory, try to put as many apps as you can in the SD, updating apps is a huge hassle because not only Google Play outright LIES about your free space remaining (Try to download a tiny app and it will tell you "you need 10 MB more to download" even though the phone says you have 400 MB free), the internal memory will fill on its own, you'll be using the "optimize" feature all the time and clearing the data and cache of these basic apps like Google itself or internal Google/Android services (and receiving videos via Whatsapp will also impact your internal storage). You'll be forced to use the Lite or PWA versions of many social apps that cannot be moved to SD. (Myself, I use FB lite, Twitter PWA, and Uber PWA for example, because the full versions will MURDER your internal storage. Shazam is also very demanding on internal storage so I have to use the Google app's music search feature) and to disable most if not all of the "Google Play _____" apps to free space. Most games can be sent to the SD, but some of these require Google Play Games to be installed. Root the phone if possible, I can't, because I play stuff that would brand me a cheater if I did.
The okay: Camera works fine but it's not stellar.
So get this phone in 16gb if you can, if the 8gb version is the only option it could be a good second choice, it might be a hassle to manage but it's VERY reliable.

HATE the storage of this damn phone! System shit already occupies 98% of the internal storage AND it does NOT let you transfer ANYTHING to the SD CARD. What's the point of even having an SD Card when it CANNOT even be used????! Pure BULL!
