So far has worked very well, with proper storage management you can fit pretty much all the apps you need. I even have a few large games on it as well. It also has a pretty nice camera. Overall 8/10. 10/10 for the price

This phone isn't worth the money. It constantly is full, even when you keep removing apps. SD cards don't help either as Samsung has made it impossible to turn an SD card into internal storage.
Buy anything other than this.

It's always "storage full".. i need to uninstall my messenger just to install another app... very disappointing...

The phone does not enable SD card to be formatted as internal storage. It's basically useless - can't install the apps you want since half of the internal storage is already eaten up by the operating system. Most app downloaded cannot be transferred to the SD card that's only formatted as a portable storage. Such a waste of money.

When you insert the SD Card, it automatically prompts you to change the location.

The phone is totally useless. Bought it for my 10 year old and she can't do anything on it because of lack of memory. Absolutely hopeless, total waste of money.

Not user friendly. External memory cannot be put as a default. Need ro manually transfer the files from internal to external everytime. Not recomended.

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2018I brought this ph a few days ago and it keeps saying storag... moreHello, been using J2 Prime for a year now and had the same problem during my first few months. My solution:
1) I disabled apps that I don't need. I get weather and news updates from social media. Office/Polaris takes space as well, I uninstalled mine since I can open my documents in my notebook.
2) I only have the apps/programs that I use. Facebook, Messenger, Chrome, Gmail and Instagram for apps. And Calculator, Messages, Phone, Camera, Gallery, Calendar, Notes for programs. Other programs and apps that those are disabled.
3) I do a regular clean up from the Device Maintenance settings (I do that twice or thrice a month, maybe?) and I clear cache not only in Chrome but in other apps as well (which I do at least once a month).
Samsung J2 has really poor memory, so if you bought it thinking that you can use it to keep your favorite apps (like a fitness tracker and astrology updates) and games, I recommend that you start saving up for another one.

Bought this as an upgrade for my old Samsung J1 phone. I'm already using this for a year now, here's my review/opinion on this phone:
Samsung J2 has a good camera for its price. However, it's limited memory is a con. If you're looking for a camera phone that can send and receive calls, you can use for basic social media and browse the net while you're on a budget, get this one.
But if you love your apps and games, look for another phone. I only have the basic apps like Facebook, Messenger and Instagram and yet I already consumed 80-85% of its memory. I have to delete files (that are saved internally), disable some apps and programs, and regularly do a cleanup (clear caches) to free some space and make sure it's up and running well.
I recommend this as a basic phone for your teens, your grandparents, parents and anyone who don't need expensive phones and are just looking for a gadget that can do its task: send and receive calls and messages, take photos and videos, use basic social media and browse the web.
