it's fast and smooth.camera is about a nice 8MP and captures nice photos in the daylight and outdoor conditions and medium photos in indoor and low light conditions.also the battery life and user interface is like galaxy S6 and is enjoyable.
the main disadvantage of this phone is :
1.there is no compass sensor
2.no notification LED
3.no light ambient sensor
4.the keys under the screen don't have light
if you are ok with those i mentioned above it will be a nice phone for you.generally i recommend it.

I have bought galaxy j5 two days ago , but to my surprise the screen size is not 5 inch . Can anyone tell what the case is ? have anyone else faced this problem ?

I got a Galaxy J5 on Oct 9th, I must say as an huge fan of the S4 I was a bit dubious of getting anything but the flagship. But the saleswoman convinced me to try the J5. Honestly best decision I have made.
Pros :
Battery I can do 2 days with it even using Wi-Fi constantly to watch youtube and facebook.
Camera takes some great shots!
Front camera has a mini flash and its 5mp! great for selfies!
Latest Touchwiz UI you would find on an S6! so its very up to date
Nice build feels nice in the hand, looks better in black
Cons
Sometimes it freezes but not hardly at all since installing firmware update
The screen aint gorilla glass
The box it came in was a bit laclusture. Suggested to me its a cheap phone at first.
Internal memory is tiny!
Overall. 9/10 Highly recommend this phone if your buying on a budget!

Camera quality is poor..Battery drains rapidly..(especially with wi-fi).sometimes gets as hot as a heater.. :) ..moto g is far better...samsung j series is average..go for s series.

allen, 26 Oct 2015I want to buy a good phone with the latest features in it s... moreSamsung galaxy J5 is a good phone that's what I'm using right now just that the inbuilt storage limit is not enough for much apps it came with 8GB instead of atleast 16GB aside from that it's perfect but I will advice u go for Samsung galaxy J7 if u don't mind the size it came with 16GB inbuilt memory and the size is 5.5 inches aside from that it's same with J5

Beautiful handset, great features, fantastic camera, nice battery life but internal memory should have been increased from 8 gb but overall I can say must recommended. I purchased the handset & got a software update within a week. After updating battery life got reduced & also get a bit laggy . This is quite irritating! Please solve as soon as you can because I love this handest!

i bought this phone about 2 weeks ago and since from the beginning i appreciated everything no lags the back camera is quite decent the front in clear sun it takes nice shots but i remained surprised to see that the battery lasted for more than 4 days in normal conditions with internet connected all the time,normal use from time to time.
also i would recommend to all users to update to lollipop 5.1.1 the custom rom image from the beginning of september 2015,it's very stable but it lacks one feature - no audio player inside but there are plenty of applications for android available so go for it :)
the phone definitely deserves its money!

I m using j5 almost one month but facing some problem 1.u cant play cont. 10 minutes it's getting temper. 2. On net battery drainage like flooding water3.camera quality isn't good though having 13px & rear 5px. Except this its a good phone .Bye
