I have j5 2015.I used it very and its a best phone for me. It have no problem and no heating issue. Its spport many features. Its a best phone.
Because i have a problem. i saw many j5 which when they restored without backup, they do not restore. software and file crruption etc... but they restored with backup, then they start witout any problem.
i have j5 (j500f). i want restore my j5.
without backup ? otherwise with backup ?
please help me. otherwise..; explain backup option in restore ?

Used Blackberry before... was impressed with Samsung J5, for a very, very short while! Now I swear on a constant basis and missing some functions that I had on my Black berry.
Simple deleting of messages, moving of files, photos, swiping screen instead of dailing.
NEVER again!!

Its running out of storage.i have moved all the photos and appa i ve downloaded to a.memory card.i turned off all the auto updates also. But still the storage space is reducing. I cannot access my gallery now.no updates.nothing.i clean cache everyday. But nothing worked. Thus all happens after upgrading it to marshmellows. Anybody knows how to fix this? Or to downgrade?

It's a nice, well made,speedy,handsome phone if you don't have a fortune to spend on a flagship one,I found the J5 to be quite laggy with marshmallow so I reinstalled the stock lollilop firmware using odin, no root needed
exposure on the camera gives heavy glare sometimes but there are apps to fix this. .I have the 2015 with 8 gb internal memory.It gets full quickly so you need to root it to delete most of the stock junk the carrier installs on it, frees a lot of memory, then get an app to transfer and link apps to your partitioned sd card
..I was unable to root it running marshmallow, only lollipop, which I think suits the phone better anyway. Loving my J5 after root, of course if you have the newer 16 gb Jr, rooting shouldn't be necessary.

I cant play COC because everytime i open it screen touch dosent work and it lags every single time..it happens to all apps but i have 30gb sdcard amd not many apps in phone storage...gonna sell my j5 and buy another phone..:'(

So here's some info. I own a J700M that has 16gigs of ROM. I bought the J5 that on Ebay or Amazon says that it has 8gigs of ROM. Here on GSM it shows an option of 8 or 16gigs of ROM. Well, when I got the phone and checked it, it had 16gigs of ROM and the description was 8gigs. So be aware that if you buy the phone I would contact the seller and be sure that it has the ROM that you want. I don't think the price would change from one to the other. The same J500M on Amazon was a few dollars cheaper on ebay and people reviewed it on Amazon as having 8gigs if ROM.
As for the J5 and J7 both 2015 models I'm very impressed. The only difference between the two (if they have the same ROM) is the screen size and battery size. I think both with respect of the screen size correspond to the battery size and will probably get equal amounts of screen on time. Which is what GSM shows, 18hrs each. I can say that for the J7 it gets great battery life. Just wanted to clear up the whole 8gig vs. 16gig option.

pls I'm a new user of this salaxy j500h but the problem is I have used different type of battery and those battery usually off when it's below 50% and whenever I try to charge it it will just continue to vibrate and the battery will not charge except I use desktop can some body on this pls

Verry good fone. I only have a qwestion, the bell that normaly ring 1 time when u receive a message like a mail or a whatsup is with me every 20 til 30 seconds until u open the mail. When u get 2 messages the bel ring every 10 seconds until u open the mail. When i am online like/with LINE and having a confersation the bel go every 30 seconds until u end the conversation. Howe can i end the bel going constantly and that it worck only 1 time when i receive a message?
