Today i got new update (for J500FN) weighting about 300 mb but as i knew from the file size, it was mainly just a security patch with some optimization. It's like we Europeans live in the past when it comes to updates ._. Asian users already have MM and god knows how long it's been since they got this 300 mb update?!? This year would be nice for European users to receive MM... ...ffs, Slowsung!

We just don't understand each other and I honestly don't want to argue with a stranger over the internet, so bye.

You can do that anytime without a sweat and whats even more convenient is that you don't even need odin or anything like that to flash roms you can directly do it from your phone. You still doesn't understand that old caches needs to get wiped after installing new update if you don't then you are likely to face the problems some of the users are going through after update. Simply Backing up and restoring won't help this issue. So yeah hope I've educated you clear enough noob. You're welcome!! Hahahah

I actually owned several samsung devices and intalled different custom roms that I like (Cyanogenmod, Aokp, MIUI, ect.). And if I didn't like it, I can easily switch back to official firmware by using odin. And about the data back-up, Smart Switch is the official application for backing up data for Samsung devices. And by the way, I didn't mention anything about installing custom rom on my previous post. I'm done arguing with you, bye.

android1994, 30 Jul 2016First of all, you can still update your phone with official... moreYou can't update firmware on a rooted phone with custom rom installed in it, can you? I said this, because most of the times when people root their device, its because they want to flash custom rom in it. Of course you can uninstall just about anything once you root your device let alone preloaded apps. Also backing up data could still result in issue because the previous cache files could come into conflict with the new update. So inroder to avoid this, follow the steps i just mentioned and follow without hesitation and you'll be safe. Sorry to burst your little bubble but you're not better than me hahahahha

Anonymous, 29 Jul 2016Hahahahha if you root your device, you cant update official... moreFirst of all, you can still update your phone with official firmware even if you root your phone (flash the official firmware with odin, duh!). Second, if you want to back-up your data just use "Smart Switch" ( It's easier to use! ). And lastly, don't act like you know better than me, I've been using android since Eclair!

PS: Please read the post where I replied on. He said he wanted to remove the "preloaded stuffs"(bloatwares), you cannot uninstall bloatwares without root that's why I suggested to root his device. Is it clear to you now?
