However, I try to save the display light (adjust it to half or less most of the time) .
I enable the power saving button.
I clean the ram to stop any applications working at the back.
Adjust the screen timeout to 30 seconds only
I turn off screen saver.

lithium-ion batteries have a rated lifetime of somewhere between 500 and 1,500 charge cycles.
so if it reach 100% or less then 25% then it lose 1 cycle.(the user runs it down all the way to zero before recharging) can degrade to 70 percent of its original capacity in 300-500 cycles
With a DoD of 25 percent, where the user plugs it in as soon as it gets to 75 percent remain, that same battery could be charged up to 2,500 times before it starts to seriously degrade.
Charge a little bit whenever you can.
Lithium-ion batteries don't respond well to being charged all the way up and then run all the way down. They take much better to little bits of charge here and there.
What's far more dangerous to a battery's well-being is heat. Lithium-ion batteries despise heat.
Battery consumption depends on the applications you have installed on the phone and working in the background even if you do not use the phone. such as; facebook, instagram, messenger,Snapchat,YouTube,etc; so if you delete these apps and use them through the browser , thus saving up to 40% of the battery (day)life , the display put on minimum brightness and wi - fi, 3G, bluetooth, use it when you need.

Insall it, it will start the flash and you are called or receivr a message. After you configure it go to settings, down ti Acesibility, scroll down and turn Flash Alert to On.

Good phone, Got it in November 2016, Rooted and flashed custom roms... Easy to root and easily fixable if something goes rom, I recommend this phone for root users much as to normal users :)

I bought my J5 2016 since two weeks. It's fantastic. I'm very satisfied & happy with it. No lag. Long life battery. It takes two hours to charge 100% . Battery stays for 1.5 day with moderate usage & 1 day with internet usage. Good camera . Good selfie plus there is a selfie flash. enough memory space. easy to handle. very good display. good design . good price . high sound in calls , videos & you tube . It comes with free internal 10.5 GB. Ram 2 GB is very good & the remaining ram usually 1.2 GB which is very nice
Actually I don't mind absence of notification light or button lights.
I recommend it for all.

Using this phone now for more than 2 weeks. Everything is fine. Pretty decent smartphone. No real lags noticed, good battery, good screen, fast and responsive. Only issue is there is no notification light.
If that is no issue for you then buy this phone.
