Reasons :
1. Latest operating system (j7 has lolipop and after upgradation it hangs)
2. 2GB ram (j7 has 1.5)
3. NFC support is available (j7 has not)
4. Modern look than j7
5. 3100 mah battery (j7 has 3000 mah)
Also j7 not supports marshmallow properly hence there is full chance of hang when it will upgrade to androidd 7. J7 was launched in 2015 and it is outdated now. If you want to purchase j7 then get j7 2016 instead of j7 2015.

AnonD-630418, 09 Jan 2017I think if you want to update to latest versions ,i suggest... moreDon't know about the j5 but I have the 3 max and its the worst phone I ever owned.I buy it on 6th of this month it heats even while using net for 10 mins and took 11 hrs to charge and the battery is not as great as it says same like 2300mah.I'm here because I want to buy another phone and want to go for j5?real user please give an honest opinion I'm already facing a loss because of 3 max.

I have a samsung j5 with android 5.1.1 (lolipop). A software upgrade to ver 6.0.1 (marshmallow) was automatically downloaded and asking to install. I prefer to keep the original oparating system but i cannot wipe out the downloaded file. How can i delete it?.

j5 (2016) model is worrest mobile. i purchased j5 -2016.
its overheating all the day.i am getting irritation about that.flipkart is blamed me.
i am getting angry about my phone .from the first day and first minute onwards it is overheating.
