Paing, 14 Jul 2018J5 pro have compass and I don't see any compass app on phon... moreSamsung j5 2017 have magnetic sensor for compasses. Download many compasses from google play and they will work by magnetic sensor . Better download compasses which don't need internet connection. I love compasses as you.

The phone its very ok. Good battery life! The bad thing is very slow update to Oreo 8.0
