Got mine and just a day after the screen broke after it slipped and dropped at a length below knee level!! Can't believe Samsung has a phone with such a weak screen.

Between the J5 2017, Moto E4 Plus and the Xperia XA1 which one has:
1. Better battery life?
2. Louder speaker sound?
3. A camera that doesn't look too dull, takes natural looking photos, clear audio in video recording and a decent low light photos?

The J Series of phones are designed to be aimed at the lowest cost conscious clients but now also favored for mass corporate use for mobile workforce's at a price where it does not matter if it gets lost or fails.
If you want a tougher screen, look at the C, A, S or Note class of Samsung phones. As it gets progressively better the higher up the ladder you go.

I ... moreWell it's just that users have reported easily scratched screens and ideally I don't want to have to use a screen protector. I'm just surprised that Samsung would put a cheap glass on the front of their premium product. Smaller manufacturers do it....feels like they did it on purpose.

I have this handset and the glass is nice and smooth,curved and has a solid feel to it. Huawei has used many different types of glass which have proved just as strong if not stronger than Gorilla Glass. You need to stop over worrying about Gorilla Glass it's not the only type out there and not always the best. Gorilla Glass is not unbreakable

From what I understand some list this phone without protective glass - one retailer said it didn't have Gorilla Glass - can anyone else confirm this? I'm surprised if this is the case, but it is absent on the spec sheet on the various Samsung websites.
