2. Settings....apps...weather...turn off refresh hour and location.
3. Turn off battery saving features totally.
Only these 3 steps can show huge improvement in battery. U can easly get 7 to 7.5 hours Screen on Time (without gaming).

I have used phones with both Amoled and IPS screens(TFT similar)- if you are doing more surfing and using apps, IPS screens are going to be better because they consume less energy. Amoled is only more efficient when watching videos or pages where the background is black.
