              Had this phone for a week so far
              pros:
              - the battery can stay 4 days with my usage and a black theme to help amoled save battery
              - the screen is great, my first amoled and it's amazing
              cons:
              - the camera isn't that great, it's ok for the price but not the best

              I was planning to buy redmi note 5 ai because its features are far ahead of this except for the screen, but my wife's xiaomi started acting up and I disliked the design of the phone, although on paper xiaomi redmi note 5 is better, the j6 is a really solid contender.

                        can't believe how good this phone is. I had really low expectations prior to receiving it and it's actually been a breeze to use. love the form factor as it's easy to use with one hand. I like Samsung's theme options as well. I installed a dark theme so it feels like I'm using a vanilla android now. camera and music is very decent and just an overall capable phone. the only thing is, the price. there's certainly better options in the same price range or at the same specs but at a lower price range.
                        still a great phone and I'm glad I got one.

                            I plan to buy a new flagship phone in the late 2019, so It is worth to keep my iphone 5s in 2018 (maybe i will update it to ios 12 soon) or just buy a new midrange phone this year like galaxy j6 to get a passable performance + dual-sim (bcoz i would like to use that feature) until late 2019?

Samsung is only good for its flagship S and Note phones.

                                      martraj, 12 Oct 2018J6 or A6? Opinions?well, they're pretty much identical specs-wise. the differences is the cameras and the back of the phone. A6 is aluminum and J6 is plastic. it really should depend on your daily usage. me personally, I don't use my phone's camera a lot and I don't mind the all-plastic body as long as it's not glossy in finish, so I'd go with the cheaper option, which is the J6.
