AnonD-710615, 26 Oct 2017Hey Unyora - Per link from SamMobile on J700P, ( https://... moreBut I can't assume if those LTE band will work after unlocking J700P here @ PH. I'm not that smart though but I'm hoping that this phone will work as it is here in PH :( if not I'm going to swap it at buy/sell groups, so sad but I really want this phone. I don't have enough budget to buy high end phone so low-mid end phone is enough for me.

Per link from SamMobile on J700P, ( https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-j7/SM-J700P/ ), and I see that this particular phone is primarily CDMA and LTE. The GSM is only @ 2G - a 10year old tech. Unless you can find a carrier that can support CDMA / LTE, then it wud be useless to bring over der @ PH.

This update is horrible. I hate the new navigation. Also it has basically killed my phone. I can charge my phone for 8 hours and it only charges up 9% more. And I have a new charger cord. Phone ran super slow so I restarted it, then when it turned back on I was forced to do a factory reset which lost all my pictures, apps, login id's. Basically everything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing this to your phone

AnonD-700651, 26 Oct 2017Normally career based phones like J700T should get updates ... moreI assume you mean "carrier based", not "career based".
I bought my J700M (J7 2015) from a big carrier (Movistar from Telefonica which operates in Spain and South America) and got their customized Marshmallow update and further updates from them as well.
Please point to the source that states that T-Mobile is the only carrier that will push the (their customized?) Nougat update to their J700Ts.
Do you know any source about Sprint and their J700Ps being updated to Nougat?
Thanks.

Is androidinfotech.com a reliable source?
If it is, then we can trust the post linked below, dated 2017-10-10, which says the following J7 2015 models will get Nougat:
- SM-J700F International
- SM-J7008 China
- SM-J700H
- SM-J700K
- SM-J700M
- SM-J700P Sprint USA
- SM-J700T T-mobile USA and all other Models
I have the J700M model (Peru, South America). Fingers crossed.
