Helo guys i got 98mb software update.
Is it safe to download ??. Or is there any problem after installing this update?

Anonymous, 03 Jul 2018There will be no Oreo update for the device becouse in this... morethere are already sources saying that this device will receive oreo including samsung representatives..it will receive oreo because it is running 7.0 unlike some other devices with 7.1.1....samsung france live chat has confirmed it..also the name of this device was present in a leaked list that surfaced several months ago...unless it receives a 7.1.1 update, rest assured it will receive oreo as the last and final os update...

There will be no Oreo update for the device becouse in this price you will get one major update and samsung have released many new j series phones and they cannot update old versions to increase the the sales of the new versions of phones.
For this price, I am satisfied with this device in all side without comparing it to higher range phones.
I cannot ask for a flagship support for a phone in this price.

i have also had live chat with samsung some time back...and there also they said that j72016 was eligible for the oreo update but they dint have any confirmation regarding the same and the update timeline...what i can take from their words is that they are planning to release oreo for this device at some point in the future..but no exact time frame

in a live chat yesterday they said that j52016 will be upgraded to oreo...so that means j72016 and j7prime will definitely receive the update,..

It was great on Marshmallow, but Marshmallow had tons of bugs.
If there weren't bugs, I would have returned to Marshmallow.

but the thing that is making me to hold my breath is that j52016 which is a lower model than j72016 is running an os version superior to j72016..that is nougat 7.1.1 whereas j72016 which is a higher model is only running 7.0..and again there are sources indicating that 2 of the 2016 devices ie j72016 and j7prime are atleast in the oreo update picture...who knows...only time will tell..

Ya...ram is the only concern...having said that it wud be great to see oreo as the last and final update in this device...nonetheless, its still an awesome phone....

I'm not sure why everyone's crazy about Oreo. Just don't understand why everyone's running after it. This phone runs well on Nougat. It's processor is capable of running Oreo, but just 2 gigs of ram? It might be a problem. Ram management is already poor as it is (on Nougat). I'm afraid Oreo will make it only worse. If anything, I just want an update that improves ram management. Because there are phones out there with 2 GB of ram, running Nougat, and they handle multitasking like a champ. Apps don't reload as often. I want an update that at least makes the ram management as good as it was on marshmallow. But I'm not holding my breath. We probably won't get such an update. It's still a good phone

no i guess u r wrong...in a live chat they made it clear that if your phone is compatible then it would get oreo...and also a live chat from samsung france made it clear that this device would get oreo at some point in the future....

People,
It's about the price and class of this phone, not the processor it is running. That's why this phone won't be upgraded. I know that A series usually get 2 major upgrade, but that's because they're upper mid-range. I still hope i'm wrong but unfortunately samsung isn't gonna treat us with Oreo

(I know this might seem like a joke, but it's not and it will definitely fix your problem. Just don't put toothpaste on it lol)
