It is possible to receive 8.0 Oreo because: The J7 2016 received just 7.0 Nougat and not 7.1.1 like the younger brother J5 2016 and 2. It is on the same platform as A3 2017 J5 2017 and J7 2017 Exynos processor 7870 and 2 GB ram ! Could have chances to update somewhere in September-October 2018!

Good News Galaxy j7 2016 Oreo is coming on 3rd Q 2018 cant tell the Sources Means maybe End of Sep i cant said this news is 100% but by look of it samsung is sending security patch update and this phone will also get oreo wait for Q3

Battery lasts a LIFETIME. Very good quality AMOLED Display.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE the software update nagging me all the time, and it's got bloated over time, although still very frugal with battery usage. No compass.... it would have been a very welcome addition at almost no cost.
