Please how do i update my phone J7 prime to nougat? When I check it in settings, it says I've got the current software version but it's still marshmallow...Thanks

Raj, 15 Sep 2017Yes! 7.0 Nougat update has made phone amazing but charging ... more9 hours is too long. Mine take about 3 hours to from 0 to 100 % which is normal for a 3300 MiH battery.
As for you it is too much. You should "hard reset" the device first. Than install all your essential apps. Than use it for few days to see any different. I am sure it will make difference. But if you still have this issue, than visit a Samsung service centre to solve it.

Since day 1 my J7 Prime battery is charged to 100%. Also my other device On7 Pro is charging to 100%. And my father's A5((2016) and J Max Tab doing the same.
But I notice few users are complaining that their devices are only charging to 91% including J7 Prime and A5 (2016). This is very strange as I knew that Samsung has only limited the charging level of Note 7 (which has faulty) battery to 91% for safety reasons. Other that model no model was infected.
Last but not least please please use only the official Samsung battery charger to charge your device. Regards.

I got my Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F with product code (CSC) XSG which is for SM-G610F from United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the 11th of August 2017. No regret buying it. I ordered it from the USA. It's been smooth so far. I just got the Nougat Update prompt in my device Settings a day ago. I’m downloading the Firmware and will update via Odin. As soon as I’ve upgraded successfully, I’ll give feedback on performance, etc. I live in Nigeria.

Samsung should fix slow charging issue..! This is the most annoying thing with this upgradation ! Otherwise all things are 10/10 !

I have never used pattern lock in any device. In J7 Prime you should use the "fingerprint" lock. Or the "Pin" lock. They are more secure and harder to to copy. Regards.

I update nouget in j7 prime after updating I swa a problem that I set a pattern in screen lock but it's not working and asking swipe to unlock pattern plz give the solution

Personally saying my battery life has improved after Nouget update. As for the battery charging, I don't see any difference.
If anyone is facing battery draining, than he/she should check which app is or process is draining the battery. After update we lost Smart Manager, but there is new app called Device maintenance. It does everything it says. So run it and check your device thoroughly. Also make sure every app is updated. I deleted all the old themes and than downloaded some new one.
As for battery charging. Use the original charger. For faster charging shut off mobile data, Wi-Fi and any background recent apps. Last but not least do not use any animated themes, animated wallpapers or screensaver. And if you do than do not complain her e that your battery is drying fast like rivers on the earth.
Last tip an android device is like a bike or car e.g. the user should tune it according to his/her needs. Every user is unique and so his/her device. Regards.
