laskan, 17 Jun 2017Whats the different between the original J7 nd a fake one? ... moreA original device is always an original. You will get warranty for it and can buy original parts of needed.Last but not least you can show off your devices without any hesitations.

As for duplicate one, it will cost less and only God knows what is has inside. And there will be performance issues. Last but not least you will not get any warranty or spare parts. And it will be shameful to show off unless you have no self esteem.

Anyway my father taught me 2 things when buying things. First make sure it is always original. If you can't afford a 100$ original stuff than do not buy a fake one with 50$; in steed buy a original 75$ stuff. It will be worthy deal. Second thing is said to me is that never ever buy a second hand or repaired stuff. So I always remember these 2 things when I buy anything. Regards.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2017Kunal, both J7 and J7 prime have same GPU.. Mali-T830MP2. A... moreMay be they are tuned differently. I am not very sure but apps, specially background running apps have effect on the devices. I wish J7 Prime can handle heavy games, but again that would have meant less battery life and heating issues. Two things I am afraid of metal unibody devices. Anyway I think one can play heavy games on J7 Prime by rooting it and than doing few customization like removing most of the default apps, using a custom light launcher etc. It depends on the user. After all it is his money and only he can decide what he wants. As for me I am seriously considering to buy a Mi device (Snapdragon/Adreno SOC) only for gaming. Regards.

Kunal, both J7 and J7 prime have same GPU.. Mali-T830MP2. And also have same processors. There must be something else behind the hoods affecting the game performance on prime

Mica, 17 Jun 2017Just bought the phone last week and put it through a stress... moreNot surprised to see your observation. But it is sad that you have said In the past that this device is not reommendable. I found it was because it is a really good device for moderate to normal users.

As for gaming I already said in many times that this device will lag in very heavy graphics games; because of lack of powerful GPU; not for RAM and processor.

As for my personal experience I am playing clash of clans on it now along with NFS No Limit. Trust me NFS No Limit has some wonderful graphics and cars. I am on level 81 and play a lot of it. Also before that I tried Nova Legacy (20 MB) version, Hit man Sniper, NFS most wanted and Real Racing 3 for mid range games. Every game run well except RR3, when 20 cars races together and there is dust effect, the device lags. Otherwise you can play the game well. As do other light games I tried Hill Climb Racing, Hay Day, Temple Run 1/2 and empire & allies along with age of empire:castle siege. All this games run well.

Anyway my verdict is that this is better package for the price for normal to moderate users. And lap of you are a casual gamer. But if you need a only gaming device than please do not buy it. Regards.

golu, 17 Jun 2017i want to buy a mobile which one will be better between RED... moreRedMi has heating issues and bugs in some apps. Also they will last more than few months. Unless you are a very heavy gamer wants a secondary device for gaming, than you will not buy Mi Note 4.

Between the rest 2 e.g. J7 and J7 Prime. Choose J7 if you need a Super Amoled Display, NFC and a removable battery without a fingerprint sensor.

But if you don't mind a Super Amoled and prefer long battery life with a fingerprint sensor for protection with a metal unibody device than J7 Prime is better.

Alternatively Samsung has released 2 new J series models in India called J Pro and J something. Both are priced similar to J7 and J7 Prime. So, you can also try them if your plan is to buy a device in July. Regards.

Just bought the phone last week and put it through a stress test. Here are my thoughts on it..

                        1. If you're looking to use Samsung J7 Prime for playing heavy or medium-high FPS games.. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT buy this phone. The laggy-ness is very much real. I've tried a couple of games on it and I'd say I'm pretty disappointed at it's performance. However some games like Cytus is still good to play on it (though there are some minor kinks of lag to it). The lag is tolerable if you're not too sensitive/oc bout it.

                        2. There are some minor glitches to it but fairly ignorable. Overall for low to moderate use.. this phone works really well.

                        3. Camera is a bit grainy for my opinion but still fine enough quality.

                        4. Battery life is outstanding. Though I'm somewhat concerned that it's not exchangeable. I would suggest being careful with handling it. (Ya know.. As much as possible DO NOT use while charging, never drain battery, avoid exposing to heat, and all that crap)

Those are just my observations from it for the past few days. I'm still very disappointed about the game lag thing. Especially since it's supposed to be an upgraded phone and yet J7 (2016) seems to have a better performance when I compare the two. So I wouldn't really recommend buying this phone.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2017Thanks. I have no use of NFC payments. I don't mind not... moreLooks like you have already chosen the J7 as your decision. So go ahead and you can buy it. It is a nice device. Also will get Noughet in few weeks hopefully.
The removable battery is really a good feature as you can carry a spare battery or in case your first battery dies you can change it without taking professional help.

As for me I am very happy and satisfied with my J7 Prime. I have nothing to complain it except I wish the 32 GB was there when I bought it. For now I am waiting for Nouget upgrade. Regards.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2017Thanks. I have no use of NFC payments. I don't mind not... moreOh and I forgot to mention I'm a samsung fan, so I'm not really considering any other brands. I've had phones slip throgh hand multiple times, and samsung hardware handles it perfectly, no scratches without a back cover. Not really considering other brands

AnonD-542833, 17 Jun 2017First of all both devices are very different. The different... moreThanks.

I have no use of NFC payments. I don't mind not having a fingerprint scanner. I'm not really into heavy gaming, only medium ones like clash royale, hearthstone.. but I believe it reflects on the overall performance of the device. I don't have LED light on current phone and I'm completely fine with it. I don't have a bike for s bike mode.

And I recently learnt about knox, which samsung apparently has discontinued but I can still use it.. pretty much similar to s secure.

Btw, the secure folder which recently launched on play store, has description that I think suggests it will be available on Samsung devices running nougat.. but I think the A series which recently upgraded to nougat still don't have it.

Overall, I think I should go for J7-6, plus it has a removable battery, which is what I prefer. What do you think?

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2017I'm really confused between J7-6 and J7 prime. Which one ... moreFirst of all both devices are very different. The different is not just in RAM or screen. But they are targeted for different users. J7 has also has NFC which means you can use Samsung pay/android pay on it, but it lack the small LED light which is very useful on times. As for J7 Prime it is primarily targeted for office use. It got long battery life, S Bike mode, S power saving along with Knox. both Knox and S Secure are different. But it gives you more protection.

Anyway after reading your query I think you are also into heavy gaming. In that case I will say you should buy a Redmi Note 4 or Moto Z. They are good for gaming. But not for long term use. Regards.
