You either have the options to sync the offline and local storage for photos, or what you are seeing is just a view of what you have on Google Drive. Did you check the physical location of the photos and look at your local storage? You should be able to turn off automatic synching to the cloud storage in the app options.

Or it looks little bigger than my father's A5 (2016).

Anyway if you still think it is too big for your palms, than you can try J7 or J5. Specially J7 which has 5 inch super Amoled screen and supports NFC/Samsung pay feature. Regards.

I dislike them for the lack of freedom and info. I mean you can select an Android device with the processor type, screen type, RAM/ROM and camera type etc.

As for apps now a days most of the apps are common in Android and iOS. So apps are not a big problem.

As for keeping a device for long duration, I think you should keep 2 devices for yourself like I do. E.g. one with a mid range device (like samsung) with a removable battery for long 4/5 year use. And another budget device ( like moto) which will be changed every 2 years to use for online service such as wallet, finance etc. This way you will be happy. Regards.

I want something that can last at least 4-5 years since I very value my money. Was thinking about taking iPhone instead of Android but since I'm broke right now, iPhone seems too pricey for me.

But why many apps support ios more than android? Like Instagram, SnapChat. It seems like iPhone user will face minimum lag with those apps, unlike android user.
