Whatsapp and messenger don't use too much battery. But net surfing depends on what type of site you visit. If it is text based like this on than the battery will last more. As for YouTube again then the battery usage depend on the quality and duration of video. Anyway I am sure J7 Prime will last a full day with. As you know currently I am also using heavily my 4G data but after 31st March I will return to normal usage. I think with my normal usage I will charge the battery every dinner time. Also remember that as it has a non removable battery you should not charge the battery for a long time.

j7user, 14 Feb 2017black is da best I just bought the J7 Prime (duo) less than a week ago.So far l think it's a very good Phone. Speed, Camera and battery wise. Any technical advantage/disadvantage in the choice of colour i.e. black & gold? 2.single SIM over double SIM or vice versa?

Honor 6X is a good deal and value for money. It got dual camera, more ROM, better processor and a new interesting UI. Also it cost less than J7 Prime. Only comcern is whether it will last as long as J7 Prime or not. If I have to buy one device right now, definately I will go for Honor 6x. Anyway I am using a J7 Prime and it is better option if you are an old galaxy user and want to continue with S apps. I have nothing against J7 Prime, only thing I found short is 16 GB ROM, 32 GB would have been a better option. If you are heavy net user than cache file will be cleaned every few days. Otherwise J7 is a worthy deal.

No two user is same even two device of a same user is not same, so battery life also different. Anyway my J7 Prime easily last a day with normal usage with few calls, messaging, social media, working on docs, reading pdfs, watching few minutes of videos on YouTube, listening music, updating apps and few attacks on clash of clans. All this on Jio 4G SIM network. As you know Jio is offering 1GB free on mobile data, so I am using as much as I can. So J7 will easily last 12 to 16 hours with normal to moderate usage. But if you want to play heavy games than it will decrease to 6/8 hours or less depending on the game. Anyway J7 also comes with S power saving mode which is great feature, as I from North East, I have to visit my village a few times a year. So this feature is life saver for me. Basically it makes your device into a basic feature phone and lengthen the battery life up to 3 days with calling and messaging. As for night stand by draining, I keep mobile data off but both SIM on during night and I noticed it drains about 5% to 7% in 7/8 hours which I think normal for 4G network.
As for update I have receivd few one and installed them. I have not felt any major change in performance or battery life get.
I I compare J7 Prime (3300 MaH), On 7 Pro (3000 MaH) and A5 (2016), in each of these have a JIO 4G SIM on SIM 1 and Vodaphone on SIM 2, J7 Prime lasts long followed by On 7 Pro and than A5 (2016); despite it has more RAM. Also I noticed that J7 Prime feels no cooler than other two if I run a same app for exact time.
Hope you get a clear view of the battery life of J7 Prime.

Please don't be confuse about the choice for Lenevo or Samsung. All matter is what you want for your hard earned money. I prefer Samsung because since 2011 I am using Samsung. All my devices met my expectations and I have never faced any major problems. In between I tried 540/535 and my experience with Lumia was not good. Anyway if your uncle is using a Lenevo device than you should ask him for feedback and if possible use the device for at least a day. As for J7 Prime it is available in shops like Ezone or Samsung store. You can try a demo and compare it to the Lenevo device. Than you should go for the device you like.
