Using it from last 2 year niether hanged ,slow , not a single fault in hardware and software ,always working like i had bought tommorrow , wet in rain , droped many time but always working like h lion baby.

I just had my software update but my Android is 6.0.1. Still marshmallow. I am in the Philippines.

Although it's an old flagship but it's one of the best looking phones Samsung ever made, so fast and responsive, big screen for watching movies and playing games with stunning camera.

Best phone i had ever, my first best phone was a s4 mini; before and next phones were crap until a J7 prime came to my hands. A thing i'm not sure to do, is to update the software, a few days ago, appeared me that notification asking for update; is it recommended? Does it make troubles? Thanks in advance.

This phone is, at most, reliable for calling, texting, internet browsing and entry-level gaming. If you're into moba, not the best phone. In fact, the wifi keeps on disconnecting if someone else is playing moba with you.
I bought this phone last year May 2017. At first, it was ok for several months. Problems occured when I started playing moba games. I thought it was our wifi but I have another phone (XA Ultra) and it was just fine.
It just kept on disconnecting. Very frustrating. another problem is that there is a white spot on the upper right corner of the screen. It wasn't there before, well obviously I wouldn't have bought it if there were. It slowly showed up last December 2017.
If your background is white or light colored, it's noticable.
Now, August 2018, even on a dark color, it can be seen. I have read some comments that they too have the white spot issue on their j7 prime.
Another issue is the camera. At first, it was magnificent. Now, it's sort of garbage in my opinion.
So if you're thinking of buying this phone because it's cheap... don't.. not worth it.

Do not update your J7 prime to latest version. My phone keeps making noises which I don't know comes from which app. The apps keep failing . Pity before the update everything was fine. I think this is how samsung forces you to buy a new phone.

I have J7 prime and i felt two problems in it, 1) doesn't have compass sensor, 2) its main camera's resolution is very low.

Rahul, 28 Jul 2018It is the worst Mobile, I have ever seen in my life. We buy... moreFirst of all hanging issue is a universal problem of any Operating System. I remember one of my old friend who was doing a Linux course and when his instructor said that Linus cant be hanged like Windows, he tried a lot of stuff together and the system got hanged and crashed.
As for J7 Prime, you must clean the cache memory regularly by using Device Manager app. also if possible boot in safe mode and try cleaning the Cache from there.
And if you do multitask, make sure you are not using all the RAM. The app combination is user specific and makes sure it is good for both the user and device.
Last but not least, don't keep useless apps as they take both ROM and RAM, and in time slows down the device and ultimately hangs/crash the device.
My advice is for any Android device, not specific to them. I am doing them and never faced any hanging issue till today.
