The Galaxy J7 Prime is actually officially only upgradable up to Android Oreo (version 8.1.0), with Samsung Experience 9.5. Is there a mistake there, or some models just couldn't go up to Android 9?

Super long lasting and durable phone. My major problem is that the chipset (Exynos 7870) is too weak to do anything intensive, even scrolling Instagram will lag. For playing back 1080p videos, it's completely fine and I have no problems with it. It has a good TFT LCD display (back in the day), and a fingerprint sensor which is unheard of in this price range in 2016.

I have been using J7 prime since 6 years without any issue even with original charger still and in daily chargings.
Chrging is almost same as in the first use.Amazing pone for the budget.Thank you Samsung for this valued product.

I am typing with my j7 prime 32 gb variant..it is still a good phone. Sometimes there are lags and feels lack of internal storage...otherwise good daily routine work performer.

I am typing from j7 prime(16gb), which i bought in march 2017, only 1 major problem with this phone is less storage space. Its running on android 8.1.0 oreo and the latest security patch of 1 april 2020. All things are working perfectly on this phone. I love the features that it has in it, which iphones doesn't have.

In railways station my mobile falls top of the bridge ladder steps and cmes ladder bottom position. In quarry my mobile falls into rock stone but still it is working but there is only one issue which is storage 16 gb. If there will ne any option to expand internal storage 1y gb to128 gb then i will do as soon as possible. I love this phone so many friends told me now a days you are using this phone. This phone becomes too old change it. My friend change so many phone due to internal damages of phone but my samsung j7 prime is one of the best phone...

I have been using my J7 Prime for the last 5 years, still running great and everything still functioning. It feel and build like a rock, because of the aluminum frame. Very good phone, and I just replaced it with a new Redmi Note 10 Pro, hopefully it will last as long as the Samsung.

I have been using the phone for 5 years and still running smooth, I installed custom ROM Android 9 Pie (One UI Based) and It works amazing. The only problem I faced is the fingerprint sensor died after 5 years which is not bad for a midrange phone and I need to charge the phone twice a day anyway all batteries age out.
