Anyone here successfully downgraded their J7 Pro from Oreo to Nougat with stock firmware using Odin? I keep getting a FAIL result.

Updated my J7 Pro. Already updated to Oreo 8.1 and checked and there was a 190MB+ update. Seems to have improved on the app switching problem. It no longer stutters as much during transition. This seems to be a problem with every 8.1 Oreo Samsung device I have tried, but this latest update seems to have smooth it out a bit eventhough it's still noticable at times.

Other than that, everything else seems smoother and faster.

Abdoroid, 18 Oct 2018To Thedarksider . What is your thone model please ? mine is a galaxy j7 pro and i haven't changed the screen or the front panel of my phone.

To TheDarkSider re Oreo update. yup. your right about problems encountered in Oreo especially if you have a broken lcd. If you change it to a new lcd with oreo version in it, touchscreen is not functional. you have to flash a touch file in order for the touch panel aka digitizer to function. better stick to nougat yet, and wait for an updated Oreo version.

Im from the Philippines and i got the first oreo update which came around 900mb but I didnt update the phone due to some negative feedbacks about the screen no longer working and the camera and stuff. Then , couple of days after , the update just went away and disappeared. Maybe Samsung removed it because of the negative feedbacks. Now , I just noticed the update came back and now its 1Gb something and Im still waiting for some feedbacks about it. Any thoughts , comments or feebacks people?

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2018this phone still good to buy brand new now..?It's the only 2017 leftover that's still being sold that I see. Main reason is battery life. It's powered by the same CPU as J6 and A6, FHD screen, and slashed price tag, it's still worth a buy. But my current preference would have to be the new A7.
