TFT panels tried to achieve what you said and they ended up with something in the middle. Those panels are nowhere near the quality of OLED panels, but they still manage to look better than LCDs but with the common durability setback.

For those who hate LCD Panels, here's a fact
PLS TFT was designed to have the same weight as LCDs but better colour reproduction like OLED Panels and higher outdoor brightness when outside.
So the battery endurance will be the same as having an OLED Panel on the phone.

just needs a nice balanced processor not exynos or mediatek . a snapdragon 700 area processor would do only a 720p display to power
