It's been phased out by Android phone manufacturers since 2016 just like the 16:9 display aspect ratio. A 2022 phone with indicator light (for missed calls and text messages) is as rare as a 2022 phone with 16:9 screen aspect ratio.

Other Android phones which take more than a second to take a screenshot by holding the Volume Down and Power Button, this model is different.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2022does it have 4 years uptodate support of Samsung ? Nope. Security patches and android software updates are less frequent on the M than on the A series but for sure, the M series will last longer than the A series due to LCD displays lasting longer than Amoled displays.

vika, 18 Sep 2022hey guys, which one is better, samsung M23 or A33?M23. The A33 lacks many of the desirable features of the M23 like a headphone jack, a dedicated micro SD card slot, an FM radio, a bigger 120Hz screen, and a Snapdragon processor which enables you to sideload GCam with Night Sight for the best low light photos at night.

M23 5G User(2-Month Old), Had to deal with a lot of Bugs, the system is unstable and poorly optimized. The raw performance will be enough to play at 50FPS in moderately demanding games with good autonomy, although say Bye-Bye to said autonomy while enabling 120Hz, you should get a Motorola instead.
It is not a cell phone that disappoints but it has such clumsy faults as choppy sound on Spotify exclusively when you have the screen off or RAM Plus has been used in eMMC memories that makes not very pleasant user experience.

Samsung does not guarantee software updates for the inexpensive Galaxy M devices and only issues a security patch every 3 months. Currently, Galaxy M23 has Android 12 and OneUI 4.1 installed, the security updates are from March 2022 and thus need to be refreshed soon.

                      it's the best from a23 5G

light sensor works if front camera is covered?

I'm wonderfully happy with this phone. It has quasi-flagship specs for a third of the price. Incredible bang for buck! My biggest concern going in was the screen possibly not being bright enough, but I have no issues reading e-books while walking down the street even while under the sun. I also love the smoothness of its 120 Hz screen (amazing for playing fast-paced games), and the colors are very good (it's an IPS screen after all, despite the "TFT" nomenclature). The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is perfectly placed right where my thumb naturally sits, and is a significant improvement in convenience over my old LG G5's back-mounted sensor.

My ONLY downside with this phone is that it doesn't have always-on display (it's a limitation of the LCD technology vs. AMOLED), so you can't look at the time from a distance and are instead forced to pick up/unlock the phone to see the time and notifications. But given how consistently and quickly it unlocks with the fingerprint sensor, it's only a minor inconvenience.

                                9.5 out of 10!

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2022its Green is a kind of Black in fact ... its cool I have the phone Bought it in May and tbh one of the best midrange phones out there. It's perfect I have it in dark green. However the camera is kind of good if u don't use its full potential. Like when u got to camera and tap 3:4 50MP(it is the highest) Here the phone loses processing power to the photo therefore Making it blurry and that's it. Otherwise it's amazing and it supports super fast charging like a max of 2 hours 30 mins u have a full charge that lasts Aroun half a day (depending on how u use it)

It's probably TN. If you own the M23 5G, you'll see it has wide viewing angles. Nothing like what you are describing. Samsung equipped the M23 5G's with a TFT display similar to IPS. Samsung probably used a different screen for the A22 (most likely TN type). It's the only logical explanation for your observation.

Max brightness, slightly tilted it, couldn't see a thing, same with all of them. 2010 technology that should be long gone, pretty much nobody is using TFT, only Samsung and Huawei, maybe there is a reason why everybody has given up on something so outdated.

You probably are referring to ultra cheap TN displays from dirt cheap China made phones. I both own the super Amoled equipped Samsung A71 4G and Samsung A52 5G and also the TFT based Samsung M23 5G and I can tell you the M23 5G's TFT is as good as the A71 and A52 5G's super amoled and IN SOME WAYS, even BETTER.

The only difference is TFT doesn't have as wide a viewing angle as the super amoleds (it loses brightness when tilted to EXTREME angles but it should be barely noticeable in most normal viewing/reading angles). Unless you routinely read at very tilted angles with very low screen brightness settings, you won't even consider it a usability issue. Another thing is that amoled's blacks look better in very dark environments with lights off, however, the blacks can sometimes look crushed and lack detail. On the other hand, TFT is noticeably sharper than amoled and has more accurate colors with pleasantly good saturation so photos and text look sharper, photos have more nuanced details and look more natural and overall better on TFT. The whites are also whiter in TFT (amoled whites are yellowish) and TFT retains maximum brightness longer. TFT displays have longer lifespans with non-existent screen burn in. You'll notice 2-year old amoled displays are no longer as vibrant and color balanced as newer ones. They become a dim yellowish oversaturated mess over the years. I'd say both technologies have their strengths and weaknesses but overall, having had several amoled and TFT/IPS display equipped phones, I prefer Samsung's high quality TFT displays over the best Samsung superamoleds, over long term use.
