Jena, 30 Mar 2013I think the discontinued status means samsung stopped manuf... morewhat does very soon mean I'am not understanding one week,two,one month I can't why Samsung so slow in its update I think week ago I saw jelly bean on this phone it was installed using custom ROM I think this man is smartest then samsung

I think the discontinued status means samsung stopped manufacturing this phone in their factory. So if the ones in the store are sold out thats the last of mini 2, it will be phased out. I think the jellybean update is near but I think it will be the last..well atleast we got cm10.1

One more thing we should consider about this update: for which version will JB be released - for GT-S6500 (NFC), or GT-S6500D (non-NFC) version of the phone? Or it will be for both? And let's hope it won't be a version for some carrier, loaded with bloatware...

Can gingerbread directly be upgraded to 4.1 jelly bean when updated for this mobile is released ?
And what about the Discontinued status is it something to worry for future ?

It's some kind joke I think. Mini 2 is one of most popular low-mid end phones and they are still updating some rare ones instead popular. F* logic

Why is it discontinued? i hate to see this as Galaxy Y is stated in this site as Available. Released 2011, October and Galaxy Ace 2, wich is released same time with this device is stated as Available. Released 2012, May. WHY????!!!!!!!

locked2u, 26 Mar 2013i can not believe... and samsung chat received JB and mini ... moreme too can't believe can someone tell me why Samsung is so slow in updates in my opinion Samsung phones are the best the only problem is the firmware updates it only cares for s3 and s4 please someone try to know a specific day???can't wait really it is a fast phone it is in my opinion better then iPhone 4S it can smoothly run jellybean

THK, 25 Mar 2013I know, but the camera and Bluetooth don't work there...Yes, it is. Unfortunately...but the developers still develope it now. Hope they can fix the bugs then we can use it for daily rom
