AnonD-9853, 29 Jul 2011Hi everybody, I'm not reading this thread almost 1 month du... morehey yea fakrul i noticed the difference...it's great n also i think i know y i dont have the gb launcher...i flashed frm 2.2.1 to 2.3.4 kpj (one package) frm wat i gather frm other forums this latest kpj firmware only updated the baseband n not any major changes, if i had gone for the previous kpi firmware i wud have had the launcher n menu change. but now i'm going to go for andro-id custom rom n cm7 found in xda site , both roms are by tj_style...are u refering to the same cyanogenmod by tj_style ?

guys you should update froyo to gingerbread 2.3.4 it runs smoothly fast, lot of changes to the software and its very stable, android editors are reeeealy working. keep it uuuuup.

I might say this is the last time i'm writing my opinion since i've already replaced my old Galaxy mini to Galaxy S2 i9100 about 3 days ago, so bye-bye to Galaxy mini... @Roofrider - Glad to hearing that you're already upgrades to Gingerbread (GB) at last. Now you've feel the different between Froyo and Gingerbread right? You'll noticed a different icon, new keyboard design with good copy/paste function, fast animation, good user interface and most great improvement is the better power management.
How possibly GB can save the battery? Well, it closes the running background apps as necessary or idled the programs so it's not consumes or waste the power battery. It also give an accurate battery overview of the power usage by each component. That's why i've always advice to Froyo user to kill active background apps, Only switch ON your 3G, WiFi & bluetooth by demand (plain and simple).
About your question which you've the home launchers same as Froyo, I've to say that my GB launcher are totally different from the Froyo Home launcher. You can see the different between your GB and CyanogenMod by watch the YouTube as below:

Fyi i'm upgrade to GB 2.3.4 with CyanogenMod 7.1.0 (opensource / custom ROM) while you're upgrading GB 2.3.4 with Samfirmware Stock ROM. Both version are still the same based on Linux kernel instruction codes, however CyanogenMod has more capability to operate wide functional since it's modified programmed from the original Android source code by others programmer. The android OS are fundementally quite similar to Linux Open Source which are widely reprogramming the source code based on Debian/Ubuntu, Fedora, Slackware and many more which had different variant on their Graphical User Interface (GUI). I bought it last week, nice device... battery life time is too short under normal use, screen have a good resolution, compared with my girlfriend´s Galaxy ACE Mini show a poor resolution specially to read text documents... about the rest I am very happy with this purchase.

choose phone n click on link
wher r u frm? Download the latest firmware(depending on region) latest is european firmware.
download it.
there is also: OPS File - DOWNLOAD , on the same page, dwnld it.
download Odin_v4.38 multidownloader.

read thru the link....the latest firmware is one package. so in odin u just need select the ops file,check one package box n select the file downloaded frm samfirmware(auto reboot n protect ops shud also be checked). connect the fone to pc in download mode.(the box appears yellow in odin)
Start. wait till PASS appears.

samsunggt, 28 Jul 2011IS it a good phone?it is not working properly.Some time it is strucking.After we switch off the mobile and once again we switch on the mobile then it is working.I buy the phone 10 days back up to now I saw it struck ed more than 4 times.
